I fricken love this cover....always have.
So underrated!
Yesterday this song popped up on my radio, I've never heard their version. My hand reached to change the station, but it stopped short. OMG!!!! I absolutely love it. I just purchased it. WOW
Unpopular opinion. I love this version better. The music matches the lyrics so well...dark, slow, emotional ups and downs. But that's me. Lol đ„°
I agree
It's so much better.
Agreed.
Agreed. They nailed it. Probably the only to be as good as if not better than the original
I agree too, it brought the younger generation to older classics with a modern twistđ€
This was originally done by the band â The Whoâ.. growing up listening to the song done by âThe Who âwas always awesome, but Limp Bizkit puts a different spin on it.For me the female vocal is really cool.
Huge Who fan. Millie. Do not like it..The pace is wrong and it sounds like s Green Day song..The "And I beg you " sounds cheesy ..The whole thing sounds like by the numbers as in "Let's do a great ,iconic song and maybe make some bucks ,." The last part of the song with the changed lyrics..? An absolute , horrific mess...
Nailed it. Way better than the original. The Who was an extremely overrated band along with the rest of that English invasion garbage. Led Zeppelin and the Rolling Stones are the exception, both super talented groups. The Who? Definitely not.
I'm happy for Limp Bizkit, they tried something different and they sold a trillion records. Very successful. I seen these guys in Philly and it was amazing.
@@Whats-It-To-Ya You are in the minority , dude ..Trying to compare Limp Dickus with The Who is, frankly ,moronic ... You cannot be serious .
They did a nice cover.
@@markdraine3571 ok boomer
Limp Bizkit is another band that gets a lot of undeserved hate. They had several really good songs. You should check out Take A Look Around, it was the theme song for Mission Impossible 2. It's a really good song.
That's their most underrated song by far imo, both in terms of lyrics and instruments.
Itâs an average band imho but this is a great cover
@@Daffmeister187 this Song is of The Who not LB
I like LB too, even when I was in high school. But Fred Durst and his antics were obnoxious back in the day.
Break stuff. The first album is understand
"Hold on" is another mellow limp bizkitt song where it's not what you'd expect from them
Lex always shows me a different way of thinking about songs that Iâve listened to for years.
Thank you for that.
This cover seems deeply personal, having been a fan on them way back. Fred and most of the band were kinda big goofs and didn't take themselves too seriously while making nu-metal which a lot of old school fans disapprove(d) of for how it incorporates different elements that are uncommon in metal (rap and turn-tables mainly). Them not taking themselves seriously while being in a generally controversial genre led to people dismissing their music as not having any artistic quality and made Fred kind of a joke in the business, dismissed by alot of people who would have been fans had they had the same sound but a different image, Fred stepped back more from the public spotlight and wasn't as visible a figure later. I think it was his way of telling people how he felt.
Preach
Well, maybe it was because he never changed his hat đ
listen to new album. banger.
It really does seem that it was a personal message he was sending at the time. Completely agree and I think it's what makes this cover so good, is it actually had meaning.
They actually do a pretty good job of covering this song. I'm not a big fan of covers in general, but this one is not too shabby.
Another great reaction, you two.
The reason why this cover sounds so similar & strip back like the original Who version is because this was on the Hallie Berry movie Gothika OST
How is it the reason? lol Cause they didn't make the song for the movie. They just made an album that experimented with a lot of different sounds and styles
@@DaP84 DaP84 simple it doesn't sound like the typical Limp Bizkit song you know there's a difference on writing music for a soundtrack for a movie is different to creating songs for an album you know there two different approaches the songs for the movie may fit a certain scene to give the scene more emotion.
@@BKLYN_TZU but they didn't make it just for the movie soundtrack, did they? Couldn't find any information on it. And the fact that the album plays around with lots of different sounds
@Master Kush I'm just assuming based on lack of info and the reasonable explanstion for unusual LB sound (cause it was an album full of unusual LB sounds with minimal rap). I think the music vid mixes movie scenes with exclusive ones for the mv, Fred directed it himself.
So glad y'all checked this one out! DUUUUUUVVVVVAAAAAALLLLLLL!!!!!!!! Thanks for all the reactions!!!
Underrated cover tune by LB. Fred had a better voice than what he was credited for.
Agreed. I saw Limp Bizkit in San Antonio. He's incredible.
This is on the soundtrack for the movie Gothiica with Hallie Berry
I was lucky enough to experience this live, many years ago. 2003-2004 Kansas City đ I went for Metallica, but was pleasantly surprised by limps performance.
Yes!! I don't have much knowledge on this but Fred always kills it. đ„
Listen to the original , Rogers voice is the power behind those blue eyes.
That is a fact of life and no one can compare to Rodger Daltrey and The Who. It was smart for them to do a slow version because they could have never kicked it up with the same power as The Who and Rodger singing
âReminds me of taking field tripsâ⊠god, I love Lex đđđ
Fred durst isn't a bad vocalist when he tries
Ya'll should always do the original first, The Who originally which is an amazing song
Here in Portugal this was played so many times on the radio around 2004
Love this cover!!! I'm usually a stickler for the originals. But this blows it out of the water. You should add Hate Me by Blue October to your list.
Hell yeah!!! This cover is the best version... PERIOD.
To be honest, I've never cared too much for Limp Bizkit, but I admit I was completely blown away when they released this cover of The Who' classic.
Somehow (at least in my opinion) they not only made it their own, but they also did it better!!!
Same here.
This cover is SO much better than their cover of Faith. It really showed off Fredâs voice.
Fait was their attention grabber though, it launched their mainstream career. I was listening to them for a couple years before all of a sudden put of nowhere some of my friends were telling me about this crazy new band that covered Faith. I was like dude I have owned that album for like 2 years.
does it show off his red hat
@@jameshoffa7085 every Limp Bizkit song shows off Fredâs red hat! đ
Cover faith
Faith was a fun cover in that it took what the original did and went a completely different direction with it. LB's cover of Behind Blue Eyes is different in that it's closer to the original while trying to bring a more fitting tone, and both succeed imo.
This is an actual good cover of the original Who song. Check out the original by the Who to make a comparison.
Thanks for doing this one!!
Lex your smile could light up a whole town â€â€
Excellent cover.
I've never heard this version before and I agree, this is not what I would have expected from them, and they didn't even rock it out halfway through like The Who does on the original from the early 1970s. Guys, you absolutely have to hear the original version; it's such a beautiful song and it was such a huge hit. It was written by the guitar player Pete Townsend, although their front guy Rodger Daltrey still sings it. And crazy Keith Moon (RIP) on the drums sits out for that whole acoustic first section and then they all just start rocking hard to finish the song out. Here is a link to live footage of them performing it so you can see what they look like in their heyday and it is paired with the studio cut, so you get the best of both worlds.

Amazing cover IMO!
Lex you have the best smile ever!
This was the first version of this song I heard as well. Love it!
Say it Brad! U love it!!!
I never heard this cover before, they did a good job.
i was literally listening to this on the way to work today and was thinking it would be cool if you guys reacted to this song et voila :D
I'd listen to this in a dark room after a rough day.. full blast
One of the few Limp Bizkit songs the mainstream radio stations had on heavy rotation.
If you like to check out a more heavy song you could try "The Truth".
Never was a big limp bizkit fan but I always dug this cover.
Who made the original?
@@Dinosaurs_with_laser_guns the who
@@jonathanbouthillette753 yes thatâs what Iâm wondering

Top 5 best covers of all time
This song was covered in 2003 at the time when he had a crush and was so much into Britney Spears and his feeling were hurt that much that he was listening to some music one day at the time and bumped into the original song of who, that song really hit him at that point to make a cover of it and making it a true masterpiece!!
âThe Truthâ!!!!
I hardly listen to Limp Bizkit, but this cover is awesome. They did the song justice and made it better IMO.
What? Shut up The Who always better
OMG!! I need to get a speak n spell from my childhood!!
I loved this remake so much
I met Fred, Wes, Otto, and Lethal in 2010. They were all pretty cool in person.
All in the Family
You have to hear the real version, as no one can play it better than The Who!
They're not a particular favourite, but I've always liked this. Classy stuff
you guys should check out the video if you haven't already , this was a great cover by limp bizkit and the video featured Halle Berry. presumably the lyrics got to her and she was actually crying in the video.
You're going to love the original!
Beautiful song, great band
Beautiful lyrics, strong message
LB always did awesome covers
I LOVE YOU GUYS...GREAT COUPLE
You have to check out the original by The Who !!!! They completely skipped out on the rockin section of the song !!!
"To be fated, to telling only lies... " that line is so powerful! To me, the lies he's telling are constantly saying that he's ok. This cover is the best version... i love it.
This fits perfectly with some on the spectrum, always acting.
This song is from the movie "Gothika" with Halle Berry she also comes out on the music video
We need some â€ïžâđ„Bloodywood â€ïžâđ„on this channel.
Love this song
You should try "Eat you Alive", one of my favourites of theirs.
I know exactly what is like, this song sums up my painful life. đâ€ïž
I heard this after I watched the film âGothikaâ with Halle Berry. Great cover.
Limp Bizkit did an awesome live cover of metallicaâs Sanitarium, you guys should check that out!
hahaha so far away from home, steve biller, flute, Jetro tullk bungle in the jungle.
I can't type for cra[p but I can hear music
love it! sign of a good band, they can do shit that makes you know you don't them :)
I love Limp Bizkit.
Their song Take A Look Around is a banger too
You gotta do The Who version, thereâs a whole bridge that Limp Bizkit didnât do where it picks up tempo and has different lyrics
If Limp Bizkit was ALWAYS more like this I might have liked them.
You should listen to the album this was on. Results may vary
Their song 'Eat You Alive' is a mixture of this more mellow singing and the heavier rap/rock sound.
For me, it's their best song.
build a bridge is probably the most underrated Limp Bizkit song.
Another great cover by them is Limp Bizkit-Home Sweet Home/Bitter Sweet Symphony. Technically a cover of two songs that they combined.
I would love to see your reaction to Limp Bizkit Hot Dog đ
The who are the original wild boys of Rock..
Acdc singer Brian tells a story of being at a who gig.
And after went to meet Roger daltrey at his home for a party.
And when Roger finally turned up in this suburban street in London, he was shirt open chest out riding a horse bareback like a true rock god.đ€Łđ€đ.
Halle berry looks amazing in this video for limps cover..
This version is the best version ahh a-a-a-aooo (repeat)
Also Limp Bizkit recently did a really nice cover of Don't Change by INXS
This song is a cover song originally made by rock band "The Who".
Good reaction by the way đ
Limp Bizkit puts out amazing live shows.
It was good for what it is, but The who's version is much better.
đŻ
Tuneeee. You should check out SevenDust âAngels Sonâ and a heavier one if thereâs called âDenialâ. All the best from England
I didnât know it was lb who did this. Itâs been one of those songs locked away deep in the back of my memory. I would have never suspected lb?
Speak and Spell sample? that is tight
The entire Results May Vary album is very good
If you want the rocking part of this song, you really need to check out the original by The Who. Its on Whos Next which imo is one of the best Rock records of all time. Limp Bizkit left out the rocking part of the song.
Their cover of welcome home sanitarium is worth a watch
Not to criticize you but in my opinion you should ALWAYS do the original first - like you recently did with Turn the Page - doing the original Bob Seger first and then the Metallica cover
I'll take a large Brad and Lex, hold the Brad
guilty pleasure band
My favorite Limp Bizkit song is "Stalemate" off their debut album Three Dollar Bill Y'all
Definitely do The Who's original version. It has lyrics in it that LB didn't use here in this cover. Also The Who's version just hits really hard in the instrumental portion towards the end.
This is such a good remake except for the âl-i-m-pâŠâ part
Agree đŻ. That part was really stupid and didn't fit with the rest of the song at all.
This song was used on the movie Gothika with Halle Berry and the song end up being a bigger hit than the movie
Listening to Roger daultry sing the original is much more haunting
The original version by the Who is oh, so much better! Now in their late 70's, the Who is touring now and sang this song on one of the late night talk shows two weeks ago! The Who at its 1960's-early 1970's best is tough to beat for excitement.
Garth Brooks wanted to make metal music, but his agent told him he had a voice for country. And he was right.
A lot of times covers never really turn out to be better than the original. But Iâm this case this cover is so much better than the original imo
Maestro Fresh Wes - Let Your Backbone Slide
In the video the discover l.i.m.p. part is the hot kiss with Halle Berry.
The lyrics and form of this song are just FACTS and reality of history, Present & Future of reality from a White Man!
Its The Who!!
His voice is pretty good for this cover
That's why I love Lexi. You never quite know where she's going but she brings it around and completely makes sense
