You need a good radar for the drones to go farther away from you. Thats why I use the Keen for my drone builds. Your more of a support car and you need to try to protect your high damage team mates.

Hey JBrider! Sihikarul here! You got my Steppen Steven U Car, As a Droner with the Call Cabin, your designed to take alot of punishment and support allies from the rear of your team, being a heavyweight droner means you gotta act like a Quarterback, Push the enemy and stick close to your allied team! The Drones act as extra army or damage dealers so make sure to push enemies or cause mayhem! I specialize in Droners so as a Droner you have to be aware of your surroundings and not ram your allies! And also a correctly and properly used and refined Droner can bully Firedogs and Melee Builds!
The Call Cabin is basically a mini Ermak that requires drones to always be active, With that on, the Call actually makes for a good ramming and defensive Cabin!

JB, This Cabin, or the Harpy or The Catalina are great for Grenadier Drones, here is the Trick Add The Odin Gen and the Yeti with enough Runes and 3 or 4 Genesis modules also if your build is wide enough you can fit the Big radar concealed in the middle, Power score will be high, but here is the kicker, you launch your 4 yes 4 grenadier drones and then cloak with the Yeti which is and you can spectate while your drone do their thing, unlike regular weapons your cloak stays on, run and hide till your drone are ready to relaunch, keep in mind that if your still in cloak when you re launch your 4 grenadiers you'll uncloak, that's why ideally you launch your drones and then cloak, and watch them go to town on your opponents, I have 10 fused Runes for ridiculous invisibly time, the sidekicks are also lethal especially with the Catalina cabin and much less power score, Odin gives you 17 points so 4 drone plus Yeti is truly lethal when you stick with your team
but dev not mentioned catalina or harpy its for drone too in cabin feature!
A bit tips..imo Drone is a worth wpn but a bit tricky to use.. I tried all drones(wheel, flight, thrown, turrets) but stick with sidekicks from lv 10ish till i almost prestige 5(now i'm prestige 113 btw, and before i loved inci the first time i bought it till now:) its Yggvain my ingame nick).. So i more or less know how they works..
1st important thing u must know.. They have working range.. Sidekicks bout 0-70/80ish m.. So don't just drop em and drive around leaving em.. Stay around ur drones and enemy in that radius.. Coz wheel drone need a moment before it activate(shoot) and again after a set of barrage they need to go back to you to activate again on that radius.. Thats why droners must have cloak.. JB almost get the hang of it at the end of vid.. Stick with crowds.. And ur drones will be ignored but dealing tons dmg.. I'm MVP ing on my upgraded sidekicks build quite alot on pve.. Coz sidekicks tend to be ignored than grenadier.. Coz grenadier blast is annoying they trigger human player to aggro on em although in crowd.. So a no no even though they have decent range of bout up to 250ish m and still shooting alot before the need to regroup on u.. And a bit more tricks on fun droning only explainable on gameplay😊

As an old crossout player I have trauma because of sidekicks xD. Falcons and the turrets were toxic too, but the sidekick were on like relic levels
I used to watch entak, until he lost interest in the game, now im a jb enjoyer

Always stay close to your teammates when using drones and mount some passive melee weapon on the front of your build.
Actually, using the yeti they are excellent for flanking, capping and gives you access to working over the whole map

Sidekick and grenadier drones are by far the weakest. I almost wanna throw fuse in there.
Its a shame drones have never gotten some love. They deserve a big buff.

And the damage is bad. The enemy almost never stays and lets the drones shoot.
Only thing I liked is being able to block \ stop enemies. Thats pretty funny when it happens.
The call cab should work with flying or shot drones. It doesn't the last time I tried em
I remember the first weekend of Fuze drones... at least 2 players on each team... doing the damage like a Mastodon perk.
I have a Call build with 3 Owls and quite some bumpers at the front.
Then at the right time, I just go in and push an enemy away from team (+ 95% cabin power) and meanwhile my rocketdrones do their job. As long as those don't get shot, it's fun.
Oh and keep an eye on your drone-timer. Get away before they time-out

range increase based on radar, buff based by cab / have same perk as cab, if you use all drones and are at 10% you can be a launched drone of type carried for 10 seconds.
I've been monkeying with melee drone-er, but it isn't great.
You could try a 2x/3x Barrier, Owl and/or anaconda turret, combined with a melee weapon. This offers permanent protection for you and your teammates, I think owl does a bit more damage than anaconda and is more flexible, just be aware it doesn't stick out of the shield. The melee weapon will melt anyone who comes inside your shield. With this build you always have at least 2 drones deployed, so you really benefit from the call perk. You won't get that much attention, but you can defend for example capture points really well and provide support for your team at the same time.
They ought to roll back the drone nerfs a bit. Like I get that no one wants to die to a "no skill weapon", but at this point drones aren't even weapons.
Buff the drones target acquisition and range, and duration, ammo
Easy way to improve drones, even for people who play them with lag issues. After you release them, you can press a button to get the overhead view of heather/mandrake, and that target area is where they go. There's a skill of using them, the downside is its 20x harder to drive your vehicle. They get a 10% overall dmg nerf for normal use, and a 25% dmg buff when you use them in targetted mode. SImple, fair solution that makes them more skill-orientated.
I use 2 Grenade drones, a yeti, and a grenade launcher on the drone cab from the Hyperboria Empty the clip drop two drones disappear into the shadows
You can try add Skinner which works nice under effect of this cabin. Then switch droids by drones and....and nothing will change cuz drones are weak now:D
Man, you have to stay close to your drones to take full advantage of the correct co-driver perks and to offer a distraction and try to minimize focus fire on them. Sidekicks are great, the least dumb wheeled drones.
In my opinion they just need more survivability and less cool down time. Damage it's fine, for what they are.
Sidekicks works best in areas while flying drones are better in pursuing, So, when using wheeled drones deploy them where you want to make a stand, they are too slow to go after the mothership if you are going somewhere at speed or pursuing something.

There's a build on the exhibition named Snaggletooth, has 2 sidekicks and 1 hawk. However, it's not about droning but, rather, melee (using the drones to provide damage resistance and power). You don't have to make a vid about it but I do think you would have more fun with it. Again, it's not about using the drones to do damage, it's about using the rig to do the damage.
You're pretty much spot on with drone strategies - they are good when nobody is paying attention to you. However, every other weapon is extremely, outrageously OP when nobody is paying attention to you. When even THE STARTER CAR stands a decent chance against a 7k drone build, thats a problem.
Also, consider flying drones. They have much higher range and are seen quite often in 7-9k helicopter modes.
That being said, they need a major rework. They are boring to play and trivial to fight against.
#makedronesgreatagain... as a semi-pro droner let me just say mastery isn't what you'd expect.
Grenadiers are in major need of an AI upgrade or fire rate or movement speed.... something. I'm not saying bring back the clan wars heyday, I just wish they were dependable. As it stands drones work as a decoy, as drone builds I tend to fill a support role carrying a doppler, radio and a keen. Besides running interference and running around like mini-me honking and irritating the enemy team running radar tends to be the most useful aspect.
Annihilators are too slow, especially with more builds hitting the 120mph top speed they can be outrun easily.
Fuzes are the most solid of the drones but even then they tend to derp and or explode too early or late causing very minor damage.
Turrets are just poop too, particularly rocket turrets. Huge stationary target with a poor fire rate means you're lucky if an R turret gets 2 misses off before it's destroyed.
As far as how to fix drones, idk. My argument is they should at least be usable against builds using similar rarity/power setups. Epic rarity drones shouldn't be trumped by literally everything. Additionally, drone cabs need some love. The main strategy with drones is get in, do some stuff, and bob and weave while your team has a chance to capitalize on enemy confusion and, frankly, none of the drone cabs perks aren't very useful when you can't run away.

Try drones and Catalina see how that goes
Better AI would be good. Maybe if the Muninn cabin wasn't so damn slow too. Seriously it's one of the slowest medium cabins, and it's a legendary. Seems like poor game design, but what do I know.

Well, say what you want about droners but they do have their own playstyle. They may never get a MVPbadge but they can win games for their teams and they are definitely fun to play.
The Yeti gives them an edge now without making them op. They could actually do with a tiny buff. And so could the Mumincab.

If you have a gripe for Crossout not being popular blame the devs. Blame them for making Battle Pass weapons for real money and then nerfing them wasting everyones money.

I love Fuze drones even though they're not the most effective. I have a good Fuze build on my Xbox account but sadly I can't use it on my pc account. Also, a cloak is EXTREMELY helpful when using drones. Curious as to whether a Yeti-Ghost-Fuze build would work well?

Maybe drones never had a place in the game to begin with. When you're droning you're not really playing XO, you're just driving around clicking a button from time to time. You could also argue that for melee builds.
Maybe they could add categories like they did with helicopters, so you would have variations or modes where you can only use pure melee/drone builds.

Yep, you're pretty much the only lunatic left making content of this things. It's been 7 years, don't know how much longer will it last, but me thinks not much longer consider how low the player base has always been, maybe they have insane whales keeping this boat afloat.
I would just hope that when they day comes, instead of just deleting the game, they would convert it into a single player version one.

The damage of each nadedrone corresponded to an impuls combined with that eerie botaim. The leaderboards of CW went batshitcrazy and scared the devs to nerfing it.
Strange though coz they never cared that much neither before or after.
It was not just the nadedrones it was also the assimilators that were brandnew back them. If any team had a nadedroner and a droner with assimilators they were practically guaranteed a win against the previous metas.
Up to that point cw was more or less ruled by a few teams that monopolized on uranium. I guess thats why they got so butthurt.
I thought it was only just since it wasnt fair that all uranium went to like 150 players.

Hippogriff Because you save one energy point when you use Either for the radar or the stealth generator You also used the wrong codriver at the beginning of the video
slow aromred vehicles arent that good either. They will just get shredded while they need to wait for their drones to reload bc one can just shoot them

Mit Geschwindigkeit und Gelenkigheit kannst du die flanken vom feind ausnutzen und sie dazu zu bewegen ein zwei fronten krieg kämpfen zu müssen
Deshalb brauchst du nicht dich selber zu verteidigen. Du tauchts hinter den auf, lässt deine dronen raus oder lässt die capsignal läuten und haust wieder ab.
Es is sehr nervig für die gegner und führt oftmals dazu das sie sich aufteilen
