For those who don't know the Swedish language, The King of Sweden is a horrible speaker. The content in its essence is nice and all, but the pure aesthetic part of it all is just plain down the drain. He resembles my 9 year old sister when she's reading loud from a paper quite a bit.
King Carl XVI Gustaf is dyslexic. That is why he has such a hard time reading. It is said that, when he became king, he misspelled his own name when he signed the Instrument of Accession to the throne,

Lena M Dyslexia or not, should the king have taken the time, he could easily have memorized his speech.
