      Hello Kittldesign, can you tell me how to change black grunge to white? I don't see that option, but I have seen folks using white instead of black.. thank u for any help..I mean the texture, I know I can change the splatter type .. but the regular textures..

    I currently use both pretty extensively because they each have their pros and cons. I primarily use Kittl for the creating of my actual designs, and I use Canva for my mockups and marketing. If I was forced to choose one and only one though, right now it would probably be Canva. I'm really surprised Canva has not added more text effects though. That might be the biggest con to Canva for me.

    • @c.u.online
      @c.u.online  Před rokem +3

      same! Kittl is quickly adding more while canva is focused too much on the AI tools when just text effects could help them out. Now kittl is coming for those downsides

    Great overview. I use both and prefer Kittl by a country mile. I am designing for POD apparel and as you noted, their designs are incredible and great to build from. Canva lacks a basic feature of having no 300dpi png export, so that's a major limitation and quite stunning that they do not offer this (so it's not good for anyone doing print on physical products -- and the pdf option is not what we want). Canva wins for mockups, Kittl basically has a few and they're not great. So I use Canva for mockups mainly and Kittl for almost everything else. You hit all the pertinent points here, so great overview!

    I currently use Canva and have used it for a variety of design projects. I love Canva, but I'm liking the features that Kittl offers in particular with text manipulation. Adding textures, masking and just being able to move the letters in any direction is a huge plus to creating unique designs. Sounds like their licensing is more reasonable for POD sellers too. Perhaps I'll be using both for the features I like in each.

    Kittl has added photo editing/raster image editing a couple of weeks ago. You can alter brightness, hue, saturation etc., but I think it doesn't´t have as many options as Canva. (I'm not quite sure, since I've stopped using Canva a while ago)

    A little off topic but do you have any thoughts on Looka vs. Canva for designing a branded website?
    Looka has nice logo designing, branding, POD, plus, AI powered website design that seems to work quite smoothly.
    I agree Kittl designs are more enticing, but there is no website builder.
    Canva has the photo and video editing, but I’m wondering if you’ve tried Canva for a branded website design?
    I tried Canva for video editing and I agree, it was super buggy and frustrating!
    Thanks ❤

    New Etsy wannabe-seller here: I'm using Canva for the moment and my designs are exported at 5000x5000px(this is the resolution found in various tutorials). Whatever images I am using in the designs are high quality(say 4k resolution @300dpi). Now, when you export the design from Canva, there is no DPI setting and of course the high quality material loses its "umph". My question to you: do you upscale your design before sending it to the printer? What Canva resolution are you using if you don't mind me asking?

    I also regularly use both and give Canva the prize. Kittl does have a lot of fun, editable images but it gets questionable at the download phase. My biggest Con for Kittl is even if you set the DPI to 300 and use the 'Optimize Quality' bar, your image still comes out as "medium resolution" in Printify. This, in turn, is sketchy if you're selling POD as the image might come out looking faded or "cracked" during printing.

    • @CBestPal
      @CBestPal Před 11 měsíci +1

      @@KittldesignThank you this would be extremely helpful. In fact, it is the only barrier keeping me from switching from Canva to Kittl. I like to create some designs from scratch with creative Fabrica graphics. Even when customizing Kittl templates, it's really hard without an automatic ruler/grid being applied to the design. I can almost guarantee I'm not the only person holding out on Kittl for this reason. It was a glaring problem. Most of us who use Kittl are amateurs.
