Man I left Cali in 2017 and moved to north Alabama - I’m so tired of Tex-Mex queso ass Mexican food they just don’t get it here. Glad to see you on the prowl to find some legit spots, I feel like even the true Mexicans adapt and go Tex-mex here to get the crowd (I don’t blame them at all), but I miss a Cali taqueria and true Mercado.
Same here..I live in Northern Alabama from California and I think the Mexican restaurants dumb it down for the white people. I haven't been able to find a good, Mexican restaurant around here. It is all so bland.

San Francisco- I like either El Faro but I’d say Folsom St was my preferred. I used to live in Hayward - I liked Los Pericos in San Leandro, Senaidas in Hayward has bomb ass green sauce with their burritos - in Newark I was always a fan of Los Gallos. I think you’re trying to get me on some sort of “gotcha” moment, but I’m telling you there are gems all around and the south ain’t it.

@@MysteriousBeingOfLight I also liked La Favorita in Sacramento and Elk Grove when I lived in the Sacramento area. There was a taco truck in Oakland that was bomb as hell that we used to go to after Raiders games but I can’t remember the name - I will say it was in East Oakland.

The Mexican restaurants in Tennessee will most likely be your typical American version but the taco trucks and Mexican markets are nice.

3:00 Here in Mexico there’s a whole market of baby jesus and accessories for them like clothes shoes hats etc. There are stores dedicated only to baby jesus.

Love my local mexican grocery story tacos. Always fresh, also 6 dollars for 3 tacos and a drink. Cant beat that price when everything else in the area is tripple the price
In Spain we got horchata but made with chufa (tiger nuts) a family of the potatoes and other roots and sugar and water original from Valencia but some places are made with almonds very good in summer so Taylor if u travel to Spain ask for horchata in ice cream parlours 😊😊😊

Not you lying about TN and Tajin 😂 it’s literally in every grocery chain, Walmart, Target, and not hard to find.
There was a shortage of it last year a couple times and the beginning of this year, it is basically just Hispanic msg anyhow so not hard to find a sub for it if it is out of stock and given it is spices one usually already has to make latin foods to pay so much for just msg when one can buy an ounce of msg and mix their own spice mix up being way better for a quarter of the cost and you get 3-4 times more seasoning for dozens of meals

Flautas are made with flour tortillas and taquitos are made with corn tortillas.
Flautas are literally the same as taquitos they just use the taquitos name in the US and they are made with corn tortillas. No one in mexico uses flour tortillas for their flautas they wouldn't get crunchy enough. I know i live in matamoros tamaulipas.

They have been converted Amigo/Amiga, if they would have only learned they language better then maybe they would have a better understanding of their heritage, EDIT: not learning the language is usually what makes that happen sadly at least from seeing it in about a half dozen people that has been my experience.

I see you are on Nolensville Rd. You have to go back to the plaze. They have .69 wings on Tuesday. That place is packed on the weekend. Try the ice cream shop in the back. I also love the food at the grocery store. I go there all the time. Dont know the third location but going to try the food. There are so many places to try in that area off Harding Place.
