I have been searching for the name of this piece of music since I was a kid in the 1970s. Thank God and my appreciation to Quentin for helping me find it.
I am just happy that i found this beautiful channel. I think it‘s one of the greatest achievements in human history. I am crying. I think i should reduce my medication.
We loved that song in the the 1970s black outs. Candles. Irish family reet down Birmingham. Brought back great arguments and Catholic parents near divorce. Lights came back on like cinema and then Box sets and that were it. We still argue about the title of it-my sister says 'the perfect night out with a David Essex picture' while my father says it's more 'Blues News-It's Milwall time, Zulus.' Please advise. Quickly.
So magnificent and graceful, truly this is better than most movies made today. This even matches up with Ben-Hur in its fantastical nature and production quality ♥
I would never like to take away from such a delightful production... however, the music is not as advertised. It's actually Johnny Pearson - "Sleepy Shores" (1972).
Also, that "Abilene" song video has even been removed from CZcams now. But, what's puzzling is that at a real "Sleepy Shores" video (czcams.com/video/T_NHIP-yLJ0/video.html), the Description section has the exact same credits as this one, with the same link to the removed "Abilene" video, at George Hamilton IV's channel... What's it all about? Does YT automatically adds all that (wrong) music metadata? (Quentin, beautiful dream, BTW! I wish I had one like that myself! ;) )
Wow, and I think I've also found the spiritual roots of Quentin's Dream in a seminal comment at that very "Sleepy Shores" video: "MrEvrenium: Gosh! If this doesn't transport you to that far away place, in a far away distant dream, on a far away sleepy shore...then...nothing will. Pure Magic and [...] beautiful [...]" ;)
The song is based almost entirely on "Chia mai" by Ennio Morricone. I am not sure if Johnny Pearson was the conductor of orchestra who played it? But if you listen to them both you can hear the similarities. czcams.com/video/DbHP9NtSnB0/video.html
Quentin was born when a TV satellite was hit by cosmic rays and a re-run Austin Powers, Mr Bean, Mrs Robinson, Charlie Chaplin and Alice in Wonderland all morphed into new being.
I remember my sister playing this on the piano. She's a music teacher now. I once took her daughter to see Cardiacs in Chelmsford. She never forgave me (my sister that is - my niece actually thought it was quite cool, especially as I introduced her to Tim Smith).
@@pamelagillespie6418 I might know your art teacher. Or I might not. Anyway, was that the video done by a class as a school project? I think it was for the song "Mare's Nest".
Same here - almost expecting to see Jim Smith in full 'The Seaside' era make up sitting in a lonely, desolate corner of one of Mr Smihes' amazing films.@@stevebradley704
I linked one of your videos in a FB page (música psicotrópica de tu tía) and now a new bunch of people is following you from the moment they watched it. We all think that your work is exquisite. Congratulations!
I don't understand what this is about, the person drifting on the water, then the wandering through the fauna, I think I'll have to write to Front Row (BBC Radio 4) to ask for an explanation.
Its the the theme tune of Owen MD, a TV series from way back in the 1970s its called "Sleepy Shores". The answer suddenly popped into my head two days after seeing your question for some reason. czcams.com/video/R2R2AobSNQk/video.html
I use to have cancer before watching this beautiful composition. I still have cancer. Thank you

This guy just gets better and better.
A beautiful dream for a beautiful man. ❤
I am just happy that i found this beautiful channel. I think it‘s one of the greatest achievements in human history. I am crying. I think i should reduce my medication.
Are you mad, man? It's only your medication that allows you to appreciate the subtleties and nuances that go way over the head of the sober sheeple.
@@Spectrescup i didn‘t know ibuprofen can do that. Wow!
You are a truly unique individual Quentin, keep shining

I remember hearing this tune as a child and always loved to hear it played. Great video

Oh, Quentin, if YOU impregnated me, I just know that child would grow to be the Vessel

This is what I imagine it sounds like outside my windows.
I am in love
I was waiting for a voice-over telling me what brand of shampoo Quentin uses
If I should die, think only this of me:
That there’s some corner of a English field
That is for ever Quentin.
Beautiful.
It`s the only Cadburys Flake advert that was never broadcast.

This made me so happy! Ahh, doesn’t get better than that to me!

ahhh the cardiacs. I once got to make the puppets for one of their videos,. My art teacher, at school was a huge fan and friend

I hadn't noticed there's a boat in this video until the 4th time I watched it.
At 0' 11" the existential angst of the entire human race is writ large in Quentins face.
