Something to remember is that your most likely never gonna see these people again, so don’t be nervous that your gonna like embarrass yourself or be awkward becuase it doesn’t really matter. You will find your group so just be yourself and if someone doesn’t like you it really doesn’t matter. it’s nothing like at school when everyone’s gonna talk about it the next day.

Yeah I made some friends on a cruise when I was in fifth grade. 9 years later, I don’t know where they are now considering I didn’t get a phone til 8th grade. For all I know one of them could be dead. One of them could be attending the university I go to (which is huge, like 25,000 students) and I don’t even realize they were a friend from my cruise.

I was on day 1 of anthem of the seas when this video came out. I didn’t know anyone and I was nervous about making friends. Your video helped push me out of my comfort zone and I went to the teen club later that night. Sure enough, I met a great group of people and we had so much fun together during the rest of the cruise! We even made a group chat and are still staying in touch today. Thank you so much for making my first cruise so memorable! ❤️

Cruises are so underrated for teens, I recently went on one and it was the best holiday I had ever I met some great people and had so much fun 🤩 on anthem of the seas, still in touch with them now it was great
I went on a cruise in June 2019 and honestly I thought I would have so much trouble making friends since I’m shy but I actually introduced myself multiple times 😳.
I’ve always been socially awkward but when I got on the ship it’s like I made a friend every hour knowing that I can’t embarrass myself cause I won’t ever see these people again and still talk to them till this day 💯
Things to keep in mind:
1. surround yourself with good people
2. dont be scared (you’ll most likely never see these people again)

I now genuinely miss cruising soo bad. The last cruise I went on was the Norwegian Breakaway in 2016 when I was 10. I'm now 15 and going on the Norwegian Gem in April and the Norwegian Prima next March. This video was actually very informative since I haven't cruised since I was a kid. I definitely will be taking notes from this video to make some new friends on my upcoming cruises. I think now that Covid restrictions are starting to loosen I should restart my cruise lifestyle and ditch the resorts for a couple years.
the norwegian gem teen club is super awkward at first but once u get a good group it is beyond fun. i went on the gem to bermuda, and it was fun! the ship is alright the food kinda sucked and the waterslide was just sad, however it had a 80s night which was the funnest night of the cruise and the teen club was pretty fun!! I hope u have fun on the gem :))

This video is kind of old, but I went on a cruise in 2016 and 2018 for my 13th and 15th birthdays respectively, and both were really fun! I made friends on both cruises and was never bullied! Unfortunately, since they were on different ships, and since I didn't really have social media back then, I lost touch with all of them. But I still remember them every now and then!

I went on a Royal Caribbean Cruise out of Galveston to Cozumel in July 2019. On the second night, my family went to the karaoke bar, and I was about to sing, "All my exes live in Texas" before these drop dead gorgeous college aged blonde girls walk in and sit front row. Then I get called up the stage, the girls cheered me when I introduced myself, and as I was singing, I interacted with the girls during the performance. But that was just the beginning. Every day for the rest of the cruise, my family and the girls kept on coincidentally showing up at the same places every day. On the final night we spent hours talking with each other and exchanged contact information. After the cruise ended, I have had two separate reunions with them, and I will continue to visit them whenever I can. Best of luck to anyone who reads this!
Honestly this is a great video! We we’re suppose to go on a cruise back in April 2020 and like unfortunately because of covid happening it got cancelled and we couldn’t go.
Now we have plans to go on a cruise this summer and like I wanted to do the teens club and stuff bc I was 17 at the time. Now I’m 20 years old. I love meeting new people and unfortunately I have severe anxiety and Aspergers syndrome. I am kinda worried tbh bc all my life I have been knows for being bullied and excluded bc of my Asperger’s which makes me feel sad about it. Now I’m worried about being left out on a cruise even tho I’m with my fam who fits in easier with many people than i do😔 so yea

last year, i went on the carnival marci gras, and i didn’t go to the teen club until the 3rd night, and in the elevator i met the girl who asked if i was also going to the teens club, and we stuck together the rest of the night, and she introduced me to some of her friends and cruise boyfriend. then night 5 in the elevator, these 2 boys and a girl started asking us questions, then we kept running into them around the ship, and we also ran into them when we were getting pizza, and we ate with them. they were super fun and i miss everyone so much
Tip: try to keep in touch with them as much as possible if you can! One of my cruise friends texted me 5 years after we met, and I completely forgot who he was!

I am about to go on my first rc I always get a amazing group on carnival I was just on a cruise the 11th the vista and there was only 3 outher kids so I just made a group with the workers 😂
I am turning 18 in less than one year so I won’t be able to go into the teen club. 😢 However, I will be able to go into most adults only areas which I couldn’t when I was under 18. 🙂 Not only that but I will also be able to debark and go on shore excursions alone and hopefully not have to get parental consent if the adult who is at least 21 or 25 on my reservation is not my parent or legal guardian.

The funny thing about it on de embarkation day I saw a girl from my cruise (she was literally like my best friend) sitting with her family like 10 feet away from mine so I went to go hug her goodbye. She then came and asked for my number and I told her but I didn’t give her the area code for some reason so now the number wouldn’t even work 🙁. And I never saw her or talked to her since.....

im hoping to make some friends on my cruise this November. Im going on anthem my favorite ship which makes the experience 10 times better. The only thing I'm worried about is I'm still pretty young I'm only 12 but I am turning 13 three months after my cruise which is nice.
