Good and Evil ABRAXAS - The Seven Sermons of Carl Jung (Sermon 3)

  • Sermon 1 featured the world of Eternity (Collective Unconscious) and Creation (Consciousness).
Sermon 2 focused on the God of Creation (ABRAXAS) and his opposing qualities (Good and Evil)
Sermon 3 now dives deeper into the essence of Abraxas, as the dead return for more in Black Book 6.
While it is a rather short sermon, it is POWERFUL. We see Jung's first moments of realizing the heresy in later Christianity, as he attempts to restore the God-image that the West has distorted.
This sermon will look into good AND evil, as well as what it means to look BEYOND it. We cover topics such as Abraxas' essence, Christianity, a new God image, inner shadows, embracing fear, psychological wholeness, the Age of Aquarius, and much more.
I appreciate the support. All likes, comments, and shares truly help this channel grow.

Here's what my mind and spirit says:
To see him, is blindness (walk a mile blind)
To recognize him, is sickness ( sickness of the mind is something that leads Jung to discover abraxas)
To worship him, is death( ego or temporary death is a way to know him)
To fear him, is wisdom ( most people don't realize that polarity means fears' opposite is courage or power to do, he's saying, you can draw power by fearing him, something ancients were well aware of)
Not to resist him is redemption ( people with schizophrenia, experience the worst attacks daily, and of course you know what is doing this activity by now,
just letting it go and allowing the flow naturally will the good come 👍

Fear to me is a portal - opening to genuine reality. Genuine fear is a real-isation you have no control, you were wrong, out of your depth, what you were confident and proud of - is all mind illusion.
True fear is the destroyer of comfortable delusions and awakening to uncomfortable reality.
You shall fear the LORD your God and worship him and cling to him.
True fear will open you up you a sense of awe (awful realisation) that may become 'awesome' if you can accept and integrate it fully with the humility it brings.

Abraxas must be known but not worshiped nor understood -Ah I get it now, it must be known through an awareness, such that can see the whole within pieces. I am slowly becoming genuinely aware of the fragments in me that reflect the image of such God like a hologram that even when divided into halves, the whole image can still be seen within the pieces. I sense it and know it now to be- that which is and is not simultaneously.
Synchronicities are abundant these days, Joseph. Thanks for such profound content.

" The law of synchronicity has to be understood. This is one of the greatest contributions of Carl Gustav Jung to modern humanity: the law of synchronicity.
Science is based on the law of causality. The law of causality is mechanical. You heat water to a hundred degrees - it evaporates. Where you heat it is irrelevant - in the temple, in the church, in the mosque, it doesn’t matter; in India, in Tibet, it doesn’t matter. If you heat water to a hundred degrees, it evaporates; the water has no say in it. The water cannot say, “Today I am not feeling like it.” Or, “Today is Sunday and I am on a holiday, and I am not interested in becoming vapour.” Or, “Today I am not in the mood, and you can go on heating and heating and I will not evaporate.” Or, “Today I am suddenly feeling very generous towards you so I will evaporate at fifty degrees. I will favour you.” No, the water has no choice. The law is mechanical, it is causal. If you create the cause, the effect has to follow. And it is without any exception.
Because of this law of causality, science cannot believe in the existence of soul, in the existence of consciousness, in the existence of God - because they are non-mechanical phenomena. The very methodology of science prevents it from accepting them; they cannot be absorbed in the scientific world. They will disturb it, they will destroy its whole edifice. They have to be kept out - God, soul, consciousness, love - they have all to be kept outside the temple of science. They cannot be allowed in. They are dangerous: they will sabotage its whole structure. They are causal. But they must be following some other law.
The credit goes to Carl Gustav Jung. The law has been known down the ages, but nobody had named it exactly. He called it ‘the law of synchronicity’. It suddenly happened to a scientist: A scientist a hundred years ago was staying in an old house. In that old house there were two old clocks on the same wall. He was surprised to see that they always kept exactly the same time, second to second: “Old clocks, and so perfect? Not even a single second’s difference?”
Being a scientist he became curious. He put one clock five minutes back, and after twenty-four hours in the morning when he looked again, they were again keeping the same time. Now it was a great puzzle. He enquired… nobody had changed, nobody had touched anything. He tried again and again, and again and again they would come to the same rhythm. Then he tried to find out: “What is happening? - something strange. They are disconnected!”
Then he observed more minutely and he came to conclude: “The vibration of the one clock, which is more powerful, the bigger clock, goes through the wall - just the vibration - and keeps the other clock in tune. It is a subtle rhythm. Nothing is visible.”
That was the beginning of a new phenomenon… then many many more things happened. And by the time Carl Gustav Jung started working on how things happen in consciousness, he came to conclude that the vibe of one heart, if it is powerful enough, can change the rhythm of another heart - just like the bigger clock was changing the smaller clock.
The vibe is invisible. There is not yet any way to measure it, but it is there. It is not tangible, but it functions. It is not causal."

Excellent presentation, Joseph. Jung would be proud of you. Keep doing this great work. I often ponder the ideals about fear vs. consciousness. Jung said when Fear is present, consciousness disappears (paraphrased.) Courage requires having the inner strength to face a possible unfavorable outcome...or so it is in my life. As I care for my sister, dying in Hospice from Cancer, I witness her constant state of fear and which vanquishes her ability to perceive life from a different perspective. She does not believe in some Sky God but is not ready to embrace the idea that there is a force in the Universe greater than ourselves. Thus, she returns to her comfortable place of FEAR. Fearing a reality that is not present but simply an imposed idea of something worse than she is already experiencing is going to happen. It makes me wonder about the concept of we get what we visualize, or what we focus on we receive better described in Quantium mechanics that the outcome is based on the observer. Yes. Good Job Joseph! Thank you for making these videos so I may have interesting Sunday morning thought journeys. xo

Thanks for another great video. I wonder if Jung's interpretation of gnosticism might have been different had he had access to the Nag Hammadi texts. There for example in the Apocryphon of John we see the demiurge is indeed the willful creator of the material world and not the highest God who is said to be unknowable. Stephen Hoeller suggested that Jung's idea of ego could perhaps be seen as the gnostic demiurge .... looking around me in this world it seems a good fit - after all we are made in the image of the creator .....

I think Jung was simply trying to ascribe image and relational symbolism by using Abraxas to explain the "Maya" of reality. To assume it's an entity or something that actually acts within reality is misleading, it's more like a "filter" of a medium which is both subjective (living world, physicality, time) and objective (ultimate reality of platonic ideal, eternal source.)

@@goddaychukunda112 I can put forth suggestions, but the legitimacy of a particular order or branch is really based on its current leadership and how well balanced their egos are. I recommend first reading some books by Gareth Knight...I consider him legitimate. If you are OK with stepping into the "heretical", then read up on Gnosticism and its various ancient and modern sects. There are various branches and offshoots of The Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn or just Golden Dawn and Rosicrucianism that may provide correspondence through social media. Most orders have a series of studies and initiations that require patience, time, practice and dedication. In your search, be sure to maintain your individual right to think and question while avoid being drawn into the darker sides of cult activity. An aspect of a legitimate order is one that assists with purifying yourself into becoming a better human being...they teach you how to properly handle your own ego while interacting with the egos of others. There is a great technical hardcore meditation book named "Mastering the Core Teachings of the Budda" written by Daniel Ingram, he speaks about meditative insight stages which comes about with the development of attention in different phases. There are stages like "Dark Night of the Soul", it is a stage named after term being used by 12 or 13 century Christian mystic. Jung also talks about stages like "night sea journey", journey to the underground. These are the parallels i found and thought that you might be interested in the modern and techincal application of meditation as the discovery of the "self". Nice work and really appreciated :)

My take is this is in fact the journey of the self searching for its origins and the duality of the nature of this mono entity nonentity. This explains the phenomenon of unanswered prayers on one day and then the unexplainable turn of events on another that appears to be answered prayers. I find it fascinating that in nature we see the triangle arise over and over ei the neutron over the proton + and electron - . The neutron is potentially one or the other it’s in fact both. In quantum physics you see this over and over . It is and isn’t it’s both . I think Jung truly tapped into this universal mind . I do believe God is life and it’s opposite death . Jesus’s words the wages of sin are death are very apparent to me here . Paradoxically it’s the wayward or sinners he was looking for in his time because it’s from this abyss of death or emptiness that the soul cries out and finds life . It is the definition I believe of conversion and redemption which is proof of God.

In the beginning the original and only loving creator made all good we are gifted love in our hearts we are in likeness of Gods loving character we were given this beautiful earth that those that do no know love but are of narcissistic character traits those that hve intent agendas self gain and gain of function..those that dont the true love what Gods love means and are those that hve changed the love to be selfish when they made evil good by ruling and reigning by taking what was given to all and therefore greed murder genocide and narcissistic self entitlements self righteous self appointed God deities the king/ High priests sought glory enslaving others and following their ancestors fallen of the badseed bloodlines do NOT know the true love
Therefore they hve been the cause of all kaos and distruction they hve bio gio socially engineered what the loving creator made good ...they create kaos to bring about order they divide and conquer through language cultires beleifs they deliberately made confusion misunderstanding mysterious to keep the control over people to create great armies to murder genocide take what was not their to rape pillaged and think they jve the right to rule reign over others
No one was to be above the other
NO ONE...we were all gifted love in our hearts but if that love is forgotten or we are told we are not worthy by those that do not hve love or know that we are in likeness of his character ...those decendants of the badseed only know and follow the false narcissistic teachings and hve hardened hearts the chosen were of the fallen from good they are narcissistic they hve complicated good to change what was good is intent and an agenda of misleading to play God to recreate copy enhance they can not know love therefore they also are not hidden anymore the true God has revealed the lies and deception those we are up against are those that rule and reign
All religious systems and all those in positions of power and control ...royal arostorcratic syste federal those of the sea/land orders pharoahs emperors kingdoms empire's all of governing titles the departments of all ruling governing systems organisations ALL SYSTEMS
love does not take from others nor would say they are better than others love has no division confusion mystery secrets that need unlocking laws that benifit those that know not love but greed power control and self entitlements we hve been told we are not worthy but we are as love gifted to us in our hearts can only be given by a loving creator ..
Look in your hearts remember what love is and means

You should consider light and dark vrs good and evil. Darkness is not nessacaraly evil light can be as destructive as darkness as darkness can be as good as light. Balance is the golden truth. There is no light without darkness. There is no color without all color. There is a full spectrum that all is and is not as one in each one of the all.

We should not fear any part of self for all self is part of all and none. Darkness can be fulfilling and light can be empty and every point of the spectrum is relevant.

I will note the paradoxical understanding of the atonement of Jesus christ. Do not continue these sermons without the use and study of the Bible especially the new testament. You must understand the meaning of circumcision of the heart! Furthermore understanding Job's opposites. Remember that CG j u n g fell away from Christianity and came back with a different understanding. From a man who can psychologically translate dreams trying to understand life itself..✝️👹🏛 .🐇🕳.

Could you stop using Yin and Yang as an equivalent to good and evil. These are stupid Western concepts that have nothing to do with Daoism. Thanks!
