    If I didn’t live in such a daily high traffic area I would enjoy getting this in a manual but I think I may go the automatic route and I’m really looking forward to modifying this car! Thanks for the awesome review!

      The automatic has the manual mode with pedal shifters. I drove the GR86 and used the shifters. It made a big difference.

      Auto is just as fun and has all the safety equipment that manual does not have. Although, 2024 forward both manual and auto will have safety featured available. I'd still take the automatic

      The EyeSight is available on Subarus with a CVT and also includes a backing up sensor for cross traffic and pedestrians, lane keeping assist, and driver assist cruise control. I never want to drive a car without an EyeSight or similar device.

    • @viewsonvehicles
      @viewsonvehicles  Před 2 lety +1

      Thank you! The 718 T is definitely better if you're comparing them directly. But the BRZ is quite good and half the price. Your comparison is appropriate though. You could think of the BRZ as a more affordable 718T. I reviewed a 718 Boxster T a while ago, by the way, you can check it out here: czcams.com/video/QeX3J7pZDVE/video.html

    Another manual or nothing bullshit review. Just because you have a manual doesn't mean you can DRIVE it well. The positives of an automatic are numerous compared to a manual. For one, it'll never miss a shift. Second its always ready in gear from a start. Third, automatics are FASTER off the line. Better in traffic. More approachable. Better in the snow. Better fuel economy.
    The automatic on paper is mildly slower but show me some one who will abuse their manual enough to get the numbers the magazines show you? Reality is, both transmissions result in a car that can go from 0-60 just as fast though you'll have to work harder in the manual.
    Having a manual doesn't make you automatically a good or a fast driver.

    • @viewsonvehicles
      @viewsonvehicles  Před 2 lety +12

      You are completely missing the point. No one says a manual transmission makes you a better driver. Manual transmissions add more involvement to the drive and, as a result, more connection to the car and pleasure in the drive. And because this is such a driver-enjoyment-focused car, it makes a manual that much more valuable.
      If you're happy with your automatic, I am happy for you. And, yes, automatics improved quite a lot in the last 10 years. As I said in the video, it's a good automatic. But do not disparage folks for preferring manual transmissions.

    • @viewsonvehicles

    • @fattybumflake
      @fattybumflake Před 9 měsíci +2

      It’s a cheap, light weight sports car. Adding sound deadening would add weight and cost. Sports cars should always be at least a little bit noisy.
