Helado de Paila: Making Ice Cream in the High Andes

In the high Andes of southern Colombia and northern Ecuador, ice cream is made by spinning a large copper vat set in a larger tub of ice. Here's is the technique in action in Laguna La Cocha near Pasto, Nariño in Colombia.
