I am an Egyptian and I don't agree with you. With a lot of respect to everyone and every race. All humans are equal of course. Neither Hatshepsut nor Nefertiti were black in race. The real Egyptian had their own race. The real ancient Egyptians themselves weren't black like sub saharan african people and not white like Europeans. You can see from statues and temple drawings that the workers who worked in the sun all day had a bronze skin color and women who stayed inside painted in light color. It was a compination of different skin tones depending on their job in society. They had soft features like small nose, mouth and skull also pale to moderate skin tone just like Mediterranean people as Egypt is a Mediterranean sea country located in the center between north of Africa and west of Asia. The dark skin tone for some of the Egyptian people today came from the south and they were either invaders or from places Egypt Conquered all over the years. And Cleopatra is totally Greek. And I understand black people had faced oppression all over their history but this doesn't justify oppressing other people.

The pyramids were build centuries before the European slavers brought over Africans to Mexico. The Pyramids in Teotihuacan were build by the Mexicas, and the great Mayan pyramids were build by Mayans. Afro Mexicans found in the souther parts of Mexico such as Guerrero, Oaxaca etc… are the descendants of the enslaved Africans who were forced to work on sugar plantations, tabaco and such. We have prominent figures in our history that were directly descended from these Africans and participated in the independence and later revolution in Mexico. So Africans didn’t build the ancient ruins because they still were not in what we now call Mexico but they did play an important role in its development in politics, culture, music, art, literature. I highly recommend traveling to these places in Mexico and if you can, talk to them about their history. It’s a beautiful experience.

One Nigerian guy took a dna test in Britain and it results told him that he was related to pharaoh Ramses! A black American guy took a dna test and saw he was related to a pharao through his Nigerian ancestry. The Egyptians are not Arabs. They're Arabic-speaking and majority Muslim, but they are not--and have never considered themselves--to be Arabs. Egyptians, the Copts, have been the native population of Egypt for thousands of years. They are the Egyptian people, full stop.
This isn't a "white/black" issue as it exists in the US. No one in Egypt thinks that way. Native Egyptians span a wide spectrum of skin tones, but they are all one ethnic group. Dark Egyptians don't lump themselves into a made-up category of "black". They see themselves as Egyptians just like light-skinned Egyptians would see themselves as Egyptians. Not to mention, Black people in America (and white people in America) think that all of Africa sees itself as one people because they are all the same color--this is just plain wrong. Someone from Ghana and someone from Kenya would not see themselves as the same people, even though to American Black people, they'd both be black Africans. So dark-skinned Egyptians are just that--dark-skinned Egyptians. They don't see themselves as part of this "black construct" that Americans have created. Also, look at all of Northern Africa. The Tunisians aren't "black", the Libyans aren't "black". Please stop trying to take the most famous history (the Egyptians) and make it your own just because it's on the same continent. It makes no sense.
Historically were there other ethnicities present in Egypt? Sure. Of course. But they weren't the native Egyptians. They didn't consider themselves as such and neither did the native Egyptians consider them as such. Even foreign rulers of Egypt were not seen as ethnic Egyptians. Please stop trying to create a narrative where the "real" Egyptians are West Africans or sub-Saharan Africans who were in Egypt for a time and anyone else (including the actual native, authentic Egyptians) are "Arabs" or "not real." It's just dishonest and erases one of the most historical ethnicities on planet Earth!
