    Cecred is IT for me!
    It’s definitely a line for people that are serious about the health and care of the hair and the ingredients and formulation shows. The bio active keratin patent truly does what it say and has strengthened my hair tenfold 🙌🏽
    The treatments especially are now my forever staples.

  • @Chimefierce
    @Chimefierce Před 15 dny +79

    CÉCRED has Bio Keratin Ferment which is meant to repair this hair. It’s in all their products. That’s their patent-pending tech

    • @kimnoir
      @kimnoir Před 14 dny +5

      To be honest, I'm not really buying the kertain/honey ferment. Maybe for the scalp, but hair? Hair is dead and what puts it apart from hydrolyzed proteins, amino acids, or fatty acids that can fill in damage in the hair follicle?* It's like limited clinical trials or biased research papers. A LOT of dumb or pointless things get patented to the point that professionals make fun of it. I think it was only included to make Cécred seem more authentic, scientific, worth the price, and less celebrity cash-graby.
      This isn't to comment on the full intention behind the brand or the actual products effectiveness AT ALL, but come on - keratin/honey lactobacillus ferment? 😅

    • @Chimefierce
      @Chimefierce Před 14 dny +14

      @@kimnoir well, I don’t know about all that but CÉCRED did wonders for my niece’s hair. It was damaged, 3 months of use, her hair is restored, breakage almost non existent. Hair is shinier and darker. My hair too, I’ve noticed significant drop in breakage as well.

    • @kimnoir
      @kimnoir Před 14 dny

      @@Chimefierce A lot of chemicals can do that and the keratin in the ferment may have been what* helped your hair. Again, I'm not commenting on how effective the product is, but how this special ingredient probably isn't as special as advertised.
      Cationic conditioners like behentrimonium chloride, stearamidopropyl dimethylamine, cetrimonium chloride, dicetyldimonium chloride, distearyldimonium chloride etc can soften hair and reduce breakage. Proteins like silk amino acids, hydrolyzed keratin protein, hydrolyzed wheat protein, hydrolyzed quinoa protein, etc can also repair hair and reduce breakage. Cationic polyquats, silicones, oils, and fatty alcohols can also help as well while not being 'special'.
      I think your solution was finding products that work for you (and I'm glad that you guys love Cécred) rather than using keratin/honey lactobacillus ferment in particular.

    • @brandonbanner8488
      @brandonbanner8488 Před 13 dny +7

      @@kimnoiryou don’t have to “buy it” bc it works. It’s been proven to repair hair strands. Dead and damaged hair strands are not the same. Repair is 10000% possible.

    • @kimnoir
      @kimnoir Před 13 dny +1

      @@brandonbanner8488 I didn't say it doesn't work, I said it's not a valid selling point because it's nothing special. I'm not sure you understand the speck of science I was talking about in my prior comment as you say "Dead and damaged hair strands are not the same." As if I was using "dead" in a hyperbolic way for damaged hair. *Every* single hair strand, damaged or not is dead. I was stating that it's not something that can be 'healed' like the scalp or facial skin because they're very different (dead vs. alive, and a big emphasis on etc). Not all damage to the hair follice is repairable, like the breaking of disulfide bonds (although things like Olaplex and K18 *might* just be able to do that) or split ends - however, they can be mended with cationic compounds, lipids, and hydrolyzed proteins.

  • @jadecoture

    Cecred changed my hair. I relax my hair twice a year and I had a ton of breakage. I use the cecred shampoo, repair mask, and finishing oil in that order and my hair looks and feels like butter. I've combined that with the mielle rice water hydrating lotion and moisturize masks... ugh! Love it. My hair had literally grown from a bob to past my shoulders in 3 months.

    These were both initial launches. (For Cécred this is "The Foundation Collection" for Fenty this is "The Maintenance Crew") which focus on Hair Health rather than styling. More collections will come out. Its already been stated but Cecred Patent pending Technology has Bioactive Keratin Ferment in its products. Love the red on you🤩
    And thanks for the review!
    I just want to add to it by sharing my two cents.
    So Cecred has a patent pending technology that works deep in the hair strands.
    And because it is patent pending, it basically means that it is a unique technology that other brands won't be able to copy🫶🏽
    Fenty definitely also did their thing with the replenicore-5 💪🏽🙏🏽. But it is not the same. From what i understand, it basically is a term used to describe a combination of 5 different ingredients.
    So in short, Fenty used a combination of 5 known ingredients to nourish the hair and decided to call the combination replenicore-5. While cecred created a unique technology. Kinda like how olaplex and k18 created their own unique patented technology.
    If fenty had used a combination of 3 ingredients instead of 5, they probably would have called it replenicore-3. If that makes sense?
