picking a single favourite shiny is SO hard, some of mine off the top of my head are Cofagrigus, Ninetales, both Jellicents, Psyduck, and Reuniclus

Finally a nuzlocker that level caps per elite four member not the champion. That’s how I do it
Yeah that is certainly the best way to do it. It doesn’t make sense to be 10 plus levels higher than the first elite 4
Members, especially since basically everybody uses rare candies to avoid having to grind everything

I just knew you were gonna use the poke block trick to get Heracross . I was looking forward to seeing it 😅 and i don’t recall you showing us the wailmer or sharpedo encounters. nice run though.
I also think Castform was an underrated mvp in this one.
I did use the poke lock trick in my fighting ruby run to get a heravross. I didn’t feel like it this time though.
And yeah, I totally didn’t record the whailmer encounter, but I did show caravanha

My favorite shiny is definitely Komala. It’s so goofy that the Pokémon doesn’t change colors, but it’s log does and I love it lol even though one could make the argument that the log is part of the Pokémon but whatever lol

Since I can't really name my favorite out of over 1000 Pokemon I give my favorite Shiny out of every Gen.
Gen 1 = Ninetales
Gen 2 = Umbreon
Gen 3 = Rayquaza (if Legendaries are allowed, other tahn that I would go with Metagross)
Gen 4 = Gliscor (this could also be my all time favorite Shiny)
Gen 5 = Volcarona
Gen 6 = Trevenant
Gen 7 = Salazzle
Gen 8 = Hisuian Zoroark
Gen 9 = I had to search because I didn't know them but from what I saw I would pick Iron Valiant

Umbreon is a icon and cool shiny but I gotta say my favorite it driftloom when he was more golden and not ugly piss yellow
WHEN DID YOU MAKE THIS?! well, im VERY late to this one but honestly creative concept and i love how you just pivoted into pink instead of just shinies. it could also let you branch out and make some for each other colour although i dont think its very necessary seeing it took 60+ hours. still though, awesome video i shouldve watched 4 weeks ago-

How long did it take you IRL for this? Dont want to spoil how long the in game time is for anyone on the comments, but i was expecting it to be way longer! Thank you for doing these! The commentary is so good i can listen to these at work so easily.
Thanks for the kind words! It’s been a while, but I’m pretty sure this one took about three weeks. During the actual shiny hunting , I played at 8x speed, and then 2x speed through the rest of the game. So I’d guess something like 35 hours? Thankfully the cast form and lileep encounters were a lot faster to get.

It’s simple really: I’m an idiot.
My entire life, since gen 3 first came out, I hated weather ball because I thought it was so weak, with only 50 base power.
It’s not until you asked about it that I thought I might have missed something. I did, a big something actually.
For anyone else as uniformed as me, weather-ball doubles in power during any weather condition, making it stronger than moves like flamethrower and ice beam.
So to answer your question: I should have kept weather ball, but there are plenty of things about Pokémon I still don’t know, apparently.

I see what your saying, but I used the most offical method to determine who was pink and who wasn't. Namely, I followed whatever some random guy on Pokemon DB said was a pink pokemon. So my methods were foolproof!

My favorite shiny is Tentacruel, because it was the first legit shiny I ever had and it was in a spin-off… That or the Sobble family shinies 🤣
Does red gyarados count as a “legit” shiny? Cause he was my first. Not super exciting now but it was back then.

I’m so confused. Are you not evolving Slugma into Magcargo because it is not strong enough for your team or you just didn’t know its shiny form is actually pink?
So I don’t use slugma because the first encounter where I found him I ran away from. Per normal nuzlocke rules, I shouldn’t have had another encounter there. So I caught one, but didn’t use it.

My favorite shinies are richu, galarian ponyta, espeon, eevee, beedrill, vaporeon, Anand lopunny I really like green shinies apparently!! And pink ones. I used all of the pokemon listed, sans the eevees on my radical red team (getting a shiny eevee required breeding and i hate eggs)
