- Whip Grafting is to cut the lower part of the scion and the upper end of the rootstock into 45° bevels, and both bevels must be smooth. Then align the two inclined surfaces, especially the cambium, to the grafting method that is tightly bound.
This grafting method is suitable for the same size of rootstock and scion diameter, and is often used for spring grafting.
