- Metal detected a Heart stopping find today, a first for us! Incredible gold coin found while metal detecting a 19th century picnic area.

I got beat up a little bit, why? I have no idea, and how people can be so evil is beyond me. I wasn't raised like that so when someone disrespects you and tries to create trouble I am at a total loss. I know it's not me and its a few that just have some serious emotional problems but it strikes me for a minute. The 2½ dollar gold coin has a total mintage of 39,364 and is of the "old reverse" design (the more desirable of the two designs). It looks to be almost uncirculated with a PCGS Price Guide value of $1000 - $1350. Great find!
You are correct. I took a good look at this coin of course and its in awesome condition. Looks like it wasn't carried for too long.
