Just wanted to say thank you for teaching interface design in a way that is easy to digest. I admire your rather analytical take to treating visuals seem more of a science rather than art, making learners hopeful that this is something anyone can get better at (with sufficient practice of course). Thanks Payton! You always bring value to your teachings while delivering the knowledge. There was a time during my past employment I used to design web pages with left to right and right to left content and image repetitions and my boss was not happy with that he told me that my designs are too boxy. I was helpless. With your teachings, I am gradually understanding the building blocks of a unique and original web design. Please make a separate video for getting rid of that boxy design look and how could we make them better. Thanks again!

Do you have a video about section blending ? I mean design ideas how to design the move from one to the next section
Exceptionally well presented in such a short time - thanks sincerely. One thing I noted in your last section was the entire page still conforms to a really solid grid design with the vertical focal axis precisely in the center. Not only have you varied the heights of the sections, you brought fantastic depth by varying the width of the sections, eliminating the "fully justified" margins. You still have the overall grid layout on the page with great proportions. This capitalizes on white space in a very attractive manner. The background color variations are well thought out also. Using the horizontal axis of the page, you brought in brand color in the middle, bracketed with mellow contrast to the dark background, and sharp contrast to the light background. Each of the individual sections are well balanced despite the difference in object sizing within the section. You proclaim little "formal education" in design - this 12 minute video blows the socks off some of the formally educated designers!!!!

On the quote that you put at the end of the video, you put "...life, that gives it all it's flavor." Please change it's (contraction for it is or it has) to its (possessive pronoun). I don't believe you wanted to write "...life, that gives it all IT IS flavor"- Thanks.

The vast majority of websites are built by individuals attempting to build a business to sell a product or products. These almost always fail but this is where the bulk of new websites come from. Point is....86% of future viewers that come to this type of website want to see products on the first page and near the top. This is not the kind of website you want for products. You do not see Nike or Apple with a large testimonial or logo section for a reason. If your attempting to sell products....dont make a website like this.

You’re talking about e-commerce websites. Of course Nike and Apple don’t follow these rules. They’re e-commerce websites. If the website is a service based business this type of website works perfect.
