Full disclosure, I am an Ireland fan and no fan of England, I’m still pissed about the Rice and Grealish situation, one has to say that they had a good tournament but Italy looked the best team in the competition.

Not really, but in this case it matters. Pickford make an impossible efort to save an impossible penalty from Manchini who never miss and get England the chance to stay on track. But you literally saw the fear and the inexpierience in Englands young shoters, they where just to scared and try to get over with. Very predicted and slack shots, make Italian goalkeeper looks very good.
Sorry, can’t fault Saka. Steps up when others wouldn’t and took a better penalty than the nonsense from Rashford and Sancho. Plus without him, England wouldn’t have made it to the final in the first place. Wish he’d seen some decent deliveries on the right in the second half and extra time, especially after Chiellini got carded for having to tug him down.
He might have made the difference again.
Can’t take anything away from Italy though, they settled in quick after that first England goal and stuck at it.
