And James has been through a LOT. He has mental health issues and battled with depression for a long time, it all stems from his childhood. Growing up, didn’t have a good relationship with his Mother and voluntarily put himself into foster care. He couldn’t handle the fame after he won the X Factor in 2012 and started self medicating. He was having panic attacks almost everyday.. Honestly there’s so much to his story, you can do some research!
No not American, he’s the best singer songwriter to come out of the UK for decades. The voice of James is second to none, amazing vocals, the depth of feeling in all his songs is unreal.
This guy has soul... another great musical introduction for me to follow up on...

He was always very emotional. He suffered from anxiety and depression and drugs. The whole album "Back from the edge" is very emotional and means a lot to James.

Exceotional reaction! James is my main man/ singer/ songwriter. His father is Scottish and his mother is English. Recovery is another of his powerful songs. It was released as a single in 2013. Knock you off your chair song.

All of James Arthur's songs sound this way. He was the XFactor winner in 2012. This is why he won. One of the most underrated artists. And his acoustics and covers of other artists are phenomenal. Sounds better than the originals.

I think he's better than Lewis. Watch his initial audition on X-Factor. He's a very genuine person who just happens to suffer from anxiety. After he won X-Factor, the music industry tried to end his career over a rap battle he did. He was unjustly accused of being something he never was. He had to rebuild his career by playing small clubs , and eventually larger venues outside of the UK. People may have gotten used to using the term "Cancel culture" recently, but many in the UK back then did exactly that to him. Check out his Miley Cyrus cover of Wrecking Ball.

Well, he won x factor and then he spiraled and lost his record deal. Everyone said he would never come back from it. He was severely depressed and somehow wrote beautiful music.
