      Heavy Jay I saw him toss a baseball to a kid in the Astros outfield after talking to him while warming up during the ALCS in 2017, even though he was a rookie that year and the Minute Maid crowd was really tough on him. I’ve had a soft spot for him ever since then.

    It’s 100% on the hitters. Pitching was outstanding every game except the 4th. Hitting was absolutely atrocious. But what can you do? The talent is there but they just absolutely choked in the clutch, with the exception of a few guys. You can’t expect the pitchers to throw shut outs every game.

    • @Mars_cod
      @Mars_cod Před 4 lety +3

      And you can’t expect hitters to hit homers and extra bases every ab. The pitchers need to be able to go more innings. And the hitters need to be able to hit good. They did good for hitting this year. It was pitching that wasn’t ok this year

    • @dg2147
      @dg2147 Před 4 lety +1

      Mars if we’re talking regular season yeah I’ll agree that pitching was the biggest issue. But we aren’t Minnesota. We aren’t happy with just making the playoffs. Like Judge said in this video this season was a failure. Correct that you can’t expect hitters to produce EVERY at bat, but 6-35 with RISP... that’s what lost this series. The Yankees beat themselves, not the Astros. The whole pitching fiasco is not ideal, but Boone did a good job managing everyone and the staff gave them every opportunity to win this series. If we’re solely talking about the post season, then the lack of offense is what lost this series

      Coles gonna be a Yankee next year and dominate his former team 😂🤣😆🤣😂 It wont matter anyway because once he leaves houston they will go back to being their typical last place team. Yeah yeah yeah i know aside from 2017, 18, 19. But otherwise historically houston is a last place shit team. They will be back there again just watch. Maybe they will move to the NFC then the AFC after that to try to save their franchise since theres nowhere else to move to in MLB to save your sorry franchise's ass.

    Huge Yankees fan here. I think that the way we lost and what happened with the Yankees in the postseason proves that the new way of having 1525271 people in your bullpen instead of just having 4,5 solid starters has failed. Baseball as a whole needs to move back to this model instead of using 10 pitchers in a game and I am convinced that the Yankees have proved that it doesnt work with these losses. Even if Yankees made it to the world series, were they really going to win a bullpen game off Nationals? Just ridiculous to me. I hope we see a serious change in baseball pitching semantics next season.

    This story will sound crazy to normal people but this series taught me a lot about my connection to this world. I put so much hope in the Yankees and after work everyday this would be what I loved to watch and keep up with all the players, I truly love this team. I had been struggling with using drugs and god or some force led me out of it and the Yankees were a big part of me getting back. I had been sober for months until after game 1 that I had watched with my best friend that I had been using with in the past. Something was leading me to believe that if I were to turn my back on my recovery that the Yankees would lose the series but after they dominated game 1 I thought there was no way and it tempted me and made me believe it was all in my head. So me my homie smoked some dmt I had held on to for whatever reason and I it took me to this room with a orange and red serpent of energy who took up the entire realm and then a jester I met before appeared in the room and created the same bed I was laying in and did this crazy trick where he turned the world I was in and made himself me and laid down and I just felt the connection between us. He showed me the duality of my spirit with this other trick where he turned into a man and was spinning sideways in a 4 dimensional tunnel that was making him black and grayish on different parts of him. It was him but it was me I felt the connection. I’m not very religious but I think maybe it could’ve been a game the devil was playing inside me for the past few years making me manifest beautiful situations and throwing it away for short term spiritual lies but that speak to me so much in the moment. I let myself become so superstitious and angry that the Yankees kept falling short of coming through where if they did they would have dominated the series. Tonight I decided to not get angry and just try to enjoy the game as silently and chill as I could but near the end of the game after the double play I kept letting everything get me mad again. So I turned down the tv and meditated and cleared my mind. Something in me clicked I had no control whatsoever over the game. The top of the ninth started and I looked at each player and spectators in the stands as role player in a game where two sides agree to battle in good fun but with complete sincerity to the act of playing the game with the best of their ability. It was beautiful to watch a baseball game and respect both sides equally and it was a maximum peak in the lehmahieu at bat. When he hit the home run I just felt the universe smiling on me because it showed me something important about life that when you let go of control that is how to enjoy life the most. I usually would have went crazy over a hr like that but I just smiled and looked at my ceiling and I felt it smiling back. In the bottom of the ninth I watch it the same way, for the art of the game and to enjoy the battle between pitcher and batter in a stadium filled with anxiety and hope for both sides. When Altuve hit the homerun I realized everything I had been believing in my mind was already set in place. It was either a beautiful deception of the joker or a lesson from god or maybe it was all just in my head either way I’m happy that I could experience whatever crazy experience that was tonight, it was definitely divine for me. Live in the moment my friends and enjoy this game of life we’re all playing for what it is instead of how you think it should be, because how it is, is more beautiful than anything else.

    This outcome was obvious from spring training. The Astros were a better ballclub, built to win in the post season, the Yanks were built to win in the regular season. Too many holes in their swings, too many k's, not enough grinding ABs, too much reliance on the HR, a weak starting rotation, over-managing. Verlander on the 2017 Yankees would have brought a championship.
    Same this year. Mr. Cashman the time has come to refrain from answering
    questions regarding lack of trade deadline deals with “we worked the phones and
    just didn’t match up”. Tell your fans how and why you “ didn’t match up”.
    Bottom line rules along with an inability to access pitching.

    After this season Judge really needs to stand up. He is a good player, but not as great, as I hoped he would be. But postseason was okay.

      Thomas RockBottom45 agree judge needs less BS it’s all about post season. Not sure why he doesn’t realize Houston pitchers were using all off speed to him for 6 games honestly. For 2 of 3 years. What’s this staff do

    As a Yankee fan, I hate to see it but I know we will win at least one championship in the next 2 years. This young core is way too good. All we need now is starting pitching. I pray that we sign an ace this winter, and I hope we burst outta the gate in 2020. I've lived to see only one Yankees championship, and I wasn't even into baseball back then. This loss hurts, props to the Astros thought, they were clearly the better team. I still hope the Nats take it home this year.

    They had a great season with many contributing. Like Tachman , ford, voit, even Frazier. Romine, tyler, in a injury prong year. Im proud of them. Yes they obviously could of gotten the big hits with base runners on . Still a good year.

    That's just it, the game changes..There are some good teams, great players, teams moving up and other teams don't make it to the WS.
    There will be some wins and losses. If it's meant to be they will make it happen.

    This guy is nothing but honest. It's telling that he doesn't even think there should have been a game 6, because they should have already won. The bats went quiet for 3 full games, especially with RISP, and it killed them.

    Aaron Judge is a heck of a player and the Yankees are a heck of a team. It's a honor to even be standing next to them in any playoff contention. Those fans, can kiss our asses. The way our fans were treated in New York, is not the same way Yankees fans were treated here. Anyway, I don't want to make this all about fans. Judge, you gave it your all. It was a back and forth battle. Maybe next year...
