If you do a series outside of youtube, definitely give something besides Joppa a try. It's always interesting because you never know what the 'beginner' quests will be. I used to dislike doing this because the towns can be confusing and I would get lost until I learned you can press the backspace key to instantly get a list of names of all the NPCs there, then you can select one and your character will automatically run to that NPC.
You can still do Rust Wells and Red Rock, but only for exploration/items. You'll end up getting the Weird Wire Conduit quest after doing one or two quests from your starter village. The random start adds a lot more variety to the gameplay.

The backspace command is great. This game has improved so much since I first picked it up.
I will prob do a non-Joppa start at some point. Once I get a bit more practice.
Just to add on how unstable genome works, each time you level up you got a 1/3 chance to get those random mutations and you get 2 mutations with 2 ranks in the mutation.
The thing with chimeras is that they can grow a random body part each time they gain a mutation after character creation by picking one of the 3 options which gets randomized, be it from unstable genome proc or just using mutation points. So if you mutated into the stinger here, you would grow the stinger and a random body part since the stinger got randomized for the extra part.
NICE! I always thought the Esper was my favorite type to play, but I am REALLY enjoying the Chimera now! All these extra limbs will be amazing. Thanks so much for the helpful comments and watching, my friend!

I also really do enjoy chimeras, it is not impossible to have more than 8 weapon wielding arms which gets pretty silly in the end game. I would highly recommend cudgels in the later game if you are going for very heavy multi-weapon build. The dazes that get upgraded to stuns from cudgels will let you solo most things as long as it is 1v1

If your going multi arms, go akimbo. Has a chance to fire all of your equipped guns when you attack. Also, every character starts with 'make camp,' just not wayfaring. Love your videos!

Multiple arms doesn't actually give you any more ranged weapon slots unfortunately, hope they make that combo work in the future
