- For my next stop in Las Vegas, I signed up to become a guinea pig for PK Oyster Bar's brand new 8lb Voodoo Pasta Challenge! Brave and hungry diners have 1 hour to finish a huge bowl containing linguine pasta, Cajun/Creole sauce, trinity mix, andouille sausage, chicken breast, and shrimp. Winners earn their meal for free, a groovy t-shirt, a trophy, and a spot up on PK Oyster Bar's Wall of Fame. Fail, and pay the $200 cost of the meal! Good luck!

How did you know they were going to be there? Do they post when they are doing a challenge so people can go and support? I live in England so chances of me seeing them are slim, I only started watching these videos just after they came to England.

I thought $200 was a lot for some friggin pasta, then I heard 3 whole chicken breast, 42 shrimp and several gourmet sausages? Yeah, I could see that adding up 😂

She ate 6 portions, so maybe 1 one portion 20 dollars. X6 is 120 dollars. So i agree not near 200
$120 is more reasonable as singular dishes are about $20 each now here due to inflation. They used to be $12 give or take each.

Some complain that you talk during the challenges and that does impact your time but you are having so much fun and you are hilarious! I love the humor you bring to the table. You are my favorite and we have White Castle in northern Indiana!

I think an order for 1lb is around $35 because there’s a bunch of seafood, and she finished like over 6 lbs 😂
@@mycomamixactly. This is literally 6 servings of a gourmet pasta dish that includes seafood, chicken, sausage, veg and special creamy and spicy sauce. Looks delicious. Looks worth the $35 for a serve in Vegas (auto price doubling…lol).
@@mycomami "A bunch of seafood" eh. There's shrimp. That's on the cheaper side of seafood. If this thing had like some scallops, or crab. or crawfish or something like that that's either more expensive or harder to source I could see the price tag being that high. In reality that's a $20 meal that just has an extra $15 tacked on because it's in Las Vegas.

It’s craazzzyy good🔥🤤 Definitely agree that the price automatically gets expensive cause it’s Vegas, but I got to meet the owner and chef. They’re amazing people. I mentioned how it is on the pricey side but after eating their food and let me tell you their whole menu is delicious. I ordered their famous combo pan roast and voo doo pasta!!🔥 They said they have to compete with Vegas’s inflation. Also the prawns they use are Spencer Gulf King Prawns from Australia and those bad boys are delicious but cost an arm and a leg to get to the US so I see why they price out their dishes like this.

you killed that and it looked amazing. 200 bucks for 8lbs of pasta some chicken and sausage is insane for failing tho. thats gonna deter a lot of people imo and no reason for it to cost that much
42 Prawns (shrimp) in there too.... They are probably fairly expensive, but it does sound excessive!

The online fishmongers that I use sell 9x whole king Prawns (60g each) for £16. Thought that could be why the price was so high, if the prawns were 'big boys'!
Unless it's topped with Ossetra caviar I can't imagine paying that much for a bowl of pasta.

depends how big the portion would be. In Germany, Europe, you get served between 120-140 gramms (4,2-4,9 ounces) and that would cost, in a normal, medium prized restaurant 15€ or 16$ So actually not expensive at all for a portion that keeps you full without totally overeating.
@@stacim3909 Vegas used to have cheap eats so as to allow visitors to gamble more of their dough in the casinos. Now they don't gaf. Better be a high-roller or gtfo!! LoL
If you've been to Vegas you'd understand. I grew up always hearing the food was cheap but when I went ten years ago I was shocked. No worse than NYC but still shocking if you're expecting to find $10 buffets.

You rocked this challenge with reckless abandon. Way to kill it, Katina. Also, you definitely need to have White Castle when you get the chance. Of the legacy burger chains in America, it easily has the tastiest burgers. Their double cheese sliders are top notch, you won't regret it. I ate them throughout my childhood and still consider them part of the top tier, even alongside many of the craft burger spots that've popped up over the years (Five Guys, In N Out, Shake Shack, etc).
Wow! I am so impressed. Don't think I could even get thru one portion let alone six. Kudos! Looking forward to your next video.

She said it was roughly 6 normal portions, which is about $34 per dish which isn't too bad.
