DIY Retro-Mod ATB - Bike Check

Bike check video on frame number 7, a late 80's inspired modern ATB. Fillet brazed steel frame. I built this frame in my garage during the spring and summer of 2023. In this video I go over some of the main aspects of the frame design, and the sensible components I chose to put on it.

Those rims are fantastic, I built some for a couple of fat bikes which used 4" tyres and loved it.

Thanks! Good to hear someone else has used these rims. I’ve never seen anyone else running them. If I recall correctly they essentially a rebranded trials rim.

Trust yourselfe doing a fork. I did some and they still do their job.

👍 I’ll probably do a fork someday. It’ll likely take an unusual project… 36er, cargo bike, tall bike, etc. At this point I haven’t had a hard time finding a production fork to meet my needs. Lots of options out there.
