Thank you for your videos. I've never seen the inside of the ABS unit (which incidentally were put in vehicles because a few people didn't know how to drive). Again, thank you Peter for your videos.

Nice. Bosch ABS system is widely used in many many vehicle brands like Toyota. I'd like to add that the function of the electric motor is push the brake fluid when the one wheel or more get locked and the ABS release the pressure. When the pressure is releasing the wheel spin again at this moment the motor roll appear, it will pump the fluid like the brake pedal. And the wheels will lock again and again the ABS will release the pressure to prevent the wheel's lock and this process frequent very fast. In brief the motor with ABS make BRAKE PULSING

That was good,Peter, but keep dissecting... we wanna see the innards and the valves themselves; oh...and we don't like to see destroying things...we are **FIXERS** ,not parts changers, that's why we are here, thanks.

@AzraelPercussionNEO It is not an induction motor. That is a pretty common brushed permanent magnet DC motor to drive the hydraulic pump. The curved magnets are glued into the metal cover and there are brushes that connect to the rotating commutator in the area where the rotating armature enters the valve block. It is very similar to the motor you would find on an electric radiator fan or windscreen wiper in a car. The two spring loaded contacts on the other side take the DC power from the control circuit to the motor. Induction motors would have 3 terminals in general (or two and a capacitor) and have static windings and a solid rotor with cast aluminium bus-bars. Also Induction motors do not have good starting torque so not well suited for fast reliable response. - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brushed_DC_electric_motor - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Induction_motor

I believe each one of those "Metal Pins" are pins that represent 1's and 0's and the circuit board controls how much the Induction Motor works based off of the "On/Off" signal sequence each of those pins recieve.

Thanks. Good vid. How does one bleed air out of one of these, if air gets in? I'm told an ODB2 computer ABS analysis computer is needed, but is there a way around that?

Wow, how about a link to describe how it really works. This one is how to make sure you need a complete ABS unit, after attempted disassembly!

Waste of time watching this video. No information in it and kept dragging on about a module you’re obviously not at all familiar with

7 minutes and 1 second of my time wasted that I’ll never get back. I can destroy an ABS ecbu on my own. I think the viewers were under the impression that you knew what you were doing so that we could properly disassemble the ECBU for repair, but instead we watched a demolition derby. 🤔

I learned quite a bit - and the title was reasonably descriptive. Find the right video for what you want to do, mate.
