Love your stories, but im getting so stressed because i have done up a few pieces now, and i basically just sanded down and painted with emulsion, and they were fine, and i did the upholstery for chairs and these pieces were for me only, but now i want to try to sell some, but i just dont have the money to buy all these products, i bought meth spirits and white spirits and linseed oil as videos suggested cleaning wood with that if not painting, and i have a few chairs but after paying for sanders and nail guns and fabric, my budget is stretched. I bought some beautiful paint today and some coloured wax...what would you suggest i need on a budget?

Love you to death Amy, I so get your "dragged down the street" but it sells, and people don't understand the old worn and aged with multiple layers look. I have done both finishes and the worn layers pieces either don't sell, or takes forever. My opinion, I see pretty much of all the artisans that sand off and do that technique to there pieces, they get the wows and the likes. Or maybe I don't master the technique enough that buyers don't desire my piece.. Could be that! I can be real...
