Welcome to Ultimate Survival Gear! Today, I have another Merrell boots review for you guys and this is Merrell Moab 2 tactical boots review.
Let's start with the specs:

Lace-Up closure
Merrell M Select DRY impermeable membrane seals out water and lets moisture escape
Waterproof PU coated leather and ripstop textile upper
Rubberized mesh ankle upper for support and enhanced durability
Heavy-duty YKK medial zipper for easy on and off
Bellows tongue keeps out debris
Now, I have done Merrell reviews before and was overall impressed. These Moab 2 Merrell boots are very popular like many other boots from the Moab lineup. Great comfort level, decent outsole, good overall quality.
It is worth mentioning here that these Merrell Moab boots made it to a few online lists like best tactical boots 2022, best tactical boots for police and most comfortable tactical boots.

Merrell makes a good product but not a fan of leather strips running over synthetics. I wish Merrell would make a boot similar to the Maine origins boot in carbon. That is with more carbon leather showing on the outside with light weight, flexible soles, in wide sizes and at an affordable price. Something a guy would wear on the city streets when knocking around and thinking this type of boot might be handy. Wolverine is making boots in carbon but not sure how flexible and light they are?

Do these have a composite or steel toe?
How well-suited are these boots for day hiking trips? Or for the occasional long weekend hiking trip?
I've used them all summer in Alaska. Great boots.
