    This is a tutorial on how to fix espresso machine model number 006SIN. They usually stop working because they accumulate a lot of water debris in the pump systems. I will show you how to clean them nicely and make this machine work again and for this, you don’t need too many tools and too much knowledge. Just make sure before you proceed with anything on this machine to take it out of the power source.

      @@originalbumbu yes! I fixed it by August last year, and I use it every day, I had to buy a new water pump and a few gaskets but it works great! Thank you for your video!

    Thank you, I bought 2 of these for what I thought was a good deal but everyone else finds them way cheaper and I’ve been meaning to take it apart for a deep clean and by a miracle I stumbled upon your video, thanks!

    Nice job, I just picked one of these things for $10. I haven't tried it yet, but if doesn't work I'll know what to do! Thanks!

    this was the problem i was having too
    i'll see if this works & hopefully i have some news in a few days
    but all the things u described about it are there. It sounds like an air compressor when i hit the button for brewing

    Great video! Water comes out of the brew head and steam wand when I turn the dial to steam. Do you have a video repairing the other components?

      First of all thank you for the question. My first question would be if the machine was ever opened? If not I would assume that there’s no missing parts. Therefore you can follow same steps I did here in hopes that water deposits and or debris are causing the issue, which is more likely. Also make sure all tubes/connections are not loose or damaged. Good luck on it.

    Hi. I'm really having trouble loosening the connection that you do at 7:12 on the video. I suppose it might be corroded. This is the first time I have opened the back of the machine. If I ruin it, can you tell me if that part has a name? Thanks

    Maybe it's only corrosion build up that could seize up the machine. I used to back flush and run descaler through it regularly but it might not have been enough. Mine won't even turn on so perhaps our machine has a different issue as well as scale buildup? I'm going to take lots of pictures and video before removing all the screws and pieces. Maybe some beer will help me. How long did you soak the parts in distilled vinegar? I'll use a brush to scrub it with vinegar. Thank you for this very helpful video! Takes away some of the fear of starting to take it apart.

      I treated the parts in vinegar for about 15 minutes. Hope this helps. And please update us on your issue

    Thank you so much for doing this video, that was kind of you.
    I took my machine apart and cleaned it as you recommended.
    However, I’m not getting any water up the tube into the pump, so no water is going through the system.
    I do hear the terrible sound that the pump makes so I “assume”‘it’s doing its thing.
    Any thoughts are very much appreciated.

      Small update. I was able to get water through the wand when I open up that valve but I don’t have the steam button pressed.
      So it seems water IS getting through the system, still not coming out of the espresso head though.

      So ran some vinegar through and that seems to have improved things.

    Mine is not broken but I'm not getting the crema I'd like any longer, and if I use the Illy ISE pods it can't push water through. Thinking my pump is no longer working at peak power/pressure. Can anything be done short of replacing the pump? I've seen refurb kits with lots of fresh o-rings, would that address this issue or is that just for folks who have leaks?

  • @oman636
    @oman636 Před 3 měsíci

    thanks for the video, i did the clean/rebuild on the pump and now i notice a small leak out of the pump end with the large o-ring, i think from the seal between the plastic bracket and the electromagnet metal surface. i tightened down pretty hard on the two screws that press the pump against the electromagnet. I wonder if i was supposed to use food grade silicon grease on that o-ring? or is this a sign the o-ring needs replacing.

    • @oman636
      @oman636 Před 3 měsíci

      ok i think i may have figured it out, the little white disc that sits inside the pump shaft has an indentation which is meant to sit up against the small. o-ring. I think i had that in the reverse direction. I put it together and i don't seem to see a leak. That last o-ring that rests against the electromagnet is very squashed. i measure it at 16.5x20 mm IDxOD x 1.64 mm thick. It's probably meant to be 2 mm thick.
