Very Nice work my friend....Learned few things and tricks from this video...Thank you for making and sharing this video with us. Much appreciated my friend.👍👍👍👍👍
you can add silicone caulk, but the weather zip tape is better, just remember if you use caulk on the bottom of sill, you may be trapping water, so the idea is if some water happens to get in it will weep out and dry
@@madskills5937 ok I understand. Thank you for taking the time to explain it to me and others & once again, great job! I'm definitely going to try my own window installation!
someone needs a real sawzall?multi piece the sill?some straight bleach sprayed on that header would hlep before taping with window wrap.some drip edge under the vinyl siding would let that roof leak get off the wall and not rot anymore.
madskillz you didnt know code requires tempered safty glass within 4 feet of that sink .bathrooms or if the sill is lower than 18"looks like it worked out.next time show the function after install that it closes and locks easy
@@madskills5937about how much did you charge for that? I have a second story window that’s really small and I want just a bigger window all the way around. If I make my hubby do it, he’ll cuss and yell the whole damn day, so I’m sourcing that job out. 😅 tia
You did a great example video! Thank you.🙂

Nice work, keep at it!
Overall you did an amazing job better than what it looked like 👍🏻💯😊
Good job bro . I just subscribe to your channel. I like to look for new humble people just like some of us who do handyman work
thank you
@@madskills5937 you welcome bud😁👍
Can you please tell me why you didn't add any silicone caulking to the opening?
Just a rookie asking to say the least, but you did a great job.

I wonder how that rough opening got so rotted when there is such a nice roof overhang in front of it
flashing on the plumbing vent was leaking inside over the window, bad roofing job
That is a roof replacement, there was a leak down the vent pipe, water was traveling from the inside from the ceiling

Yes I hear y’all, I need to show more of the finishing
What if you need wider windows? Mine are super small.
Frame in your rough opening, it’s easier than cutting out a big opening,
