I Love it! All the hallmarks of a Band-Maid Song with a few new wrinkles throughout it to keep it interesting.
One of the best attributes of Band-Maid that is often underappreciated is their fearlessness. Their willingness to adapt, evolve and experiment with new musical ideas.
Lots of mixed reactions within the fandom to the song. But personally I think it gets better with each listen. Akane drums drives the song and I like it more and more as time goes on. Maybe a nice and gentle song with simple English lyrics doesn't knock it out of the park for some. However Bestie will stand the test of time.
The more you listen to a B-M song; the more you’ll like it. I find it to be true for most of their songs.

I love MISA's playing. Her bass tone is setting a new standard... and Akane's drumming is so distinguishable... and Kanami's solo... ahhhh! The recording and mix is good, too! Miku's lyrics are heartfelt. "I can't look into your eyes." Is Saiki her bestie? But Saiki masterfully delivers her lyrics, as always. BTW - The volume of lyrics and nuanced melodies she's committed to memory over the years is simply mind-blowing!
Mikey did good at giving them his direction for the song, and probably helped with the English lyrics -- a good growth for Miku's craft. I don't understand why Kanami said she couldn't have come up with the main riff. Probably just her being super polite, as usual.
I like the groove and feel of the song. I was waiting for, "I don't give a f**k" at the end. But maybe with these particular "Bestie" lyrics, that wouldn't be such a good idea. Even though at first listen it felt on par with Start Over, it will undoubtedly do what every Band-Maid song does -- grow on you! Got to break through to the mainstream market with a few cuts, right? Hopefully Bestie helps with that! Thanks, Band-Maid!
This song did sound commercial. Ready made for the mainstream, if only B-M is given a chance 🤞
I love this song! Yes, it's a departure from their normal hard rock sound, but WOW!!!!! The Cali power ballad sound is so uplifting and sweet. It does reflect Mike's compositional style and the Maid's ability to turn ANY composition into their own. Kanami's riffs are incredible. MISA and Akane (the best polyrhythmic section in rock) add so much to the power behind Kanami's riffs and Saiki and Miku's voices (especially their harmonization). Miku's heartfelt love song to her bandmates is beautiful. We all know Kanami is a musical genius, but Miku is a lyrical genius. How many professional lyricists would kill to come up with the line, "The best things are in your heart." This song is definitely about the loving friendship the Maids have for each other. Mohammed Ali once said," Anybody who doesn't understand the meaning of friendship, understands nothing." I agree and I'm really glad to have found some internet friends in the Band-Maid community.
I don't have to actually put "Bestie" on continuous repeat (even though I kinda do) as it's PERMENENTLY LODGED SOMEWHERE IN MY CEREBRAL CORTEX! 🤣 But hey, I ain't complainin'. LOVE it! Thanks Al! 🕊

stand-outs for me in this song were Kanami's guitar tone and the vocal harmonies
I loved Miku’s vocals in this, for sure.
This song has really grown on me, just gorgeous and that guitar solo from Kanami, wow and yep it's tastefully reminiscent of her heartbreaker in Daydreaming. Thank you so much for the shout out for Alexej, he is a phenomenal talent, cheers Po 👍🍻

I agree with you on Kanami's solo. It's Daydreaming Ver: 2.0. The more I listen to this song, the more I like it........ not that I didn´t already like the song. Not my fav, but still very cool. It's in the playlist/s.
