- Waddup my beautiful folks? I'm back at it with some more hair content for ya. Today I have a week in my wash n go using products from Briogeo! Briogeo is a high end curly hair collection that prides itself on using clean and effective ingredients for all hair types. I'm giving you my full wash day, co-wash, and thorough review of all of the products I tried from the brand. I hope you guys enjoy and I'll see you in the next one!

You got me sold on the cowash. I’m definitely getting it when I find a coupon code or something lol. I definitely agree you’ve had better wash n gos. I could tell a difference with the curl maker. It was much more shiner and defined. Thanks for sharing.
I love the Briogeo family of products, especially the Don’t Despair deep conditioner. Never tried the co-wish but have to get it now. Thanks. I have to say, I LOVE the charisma gel. I live in Florida and I layer it on top of a heavier gel to fight the humidity and I have a lot of movement still. I’ve even put it on top of Uncle Funky’s Daughter gel and I loved it. It definitely has a cast. I’ve never used it with just a leave in. I really appreciate your videos. You’re always so thorough and just a pleasure to watch. Thank you!
Hmmm interesting! I’ll definitely try it out as a topper and see how I like it. It’s for sure good for humidity but not a match for my active lifestyle on its own. Thanks for all of the love 💕💕💕
Hi Bri - I really love Briogeo products. Especially when I don't have a lot of time to spend on my hair during wash day. Their products are great and work fast! Staples in my collection for sure!
I don’t get how briogeo is black owned but seems to cater to others. They’re products & styler specifically seemed to work well for people of a certain curl type & texture here on CZcams which is my main reason for not wanting to try their products. I wish they would make products for their intended demographic
Eh I honestly don’t care. I don’t think she ever intended to cater to a single demographic from the start. I think it was always built upon being a clean brand, not black and proud and that’s fine with me. The brand being black owned is only recently being discussed because of the current state we’re in, but she’s never led with that. Tbh it was the type 4 gals that put me on to the brand first so I can’t say I’ve only ever seen it work for one type. But that’s just my personal experience in getting to know the brand. Tbh I could make the same points about Curlsmith and even Ecoslay to a degree as well. I mean Ecoslay was veery hyped up by the white curly community at one point. I’d say the last year or two has really marked a turn in who you see them reposting and working with, but I’ve still found gems from all three. Some brands thrive on ambiguity and just letting the products talk so I don’t judge either way.
The Third Eye Angel I understand about not having kente cloth backgrounds or Juneteenth sales as a way to push “ambiguity” to market your brand for all, it’s just disheartening when brands choose to not repost or share black customers or anyone with type 4 hair as a way to be “ambiguous”. Non black doesn’t really quite reach the “ambiguous” part for me. If they wanted to be a brand for all that bases itself on pure hair care, just post ANYONE that rocks a style with their products. It’s telling who they choose.
I’ve definitely seen them work with and repost type 4 sistas though. But that’s just me. Is type 4 hair as prevalent as others, no, but I could say that about many other brands that I promote here. But to say that they just don’t is false. I’ve seen many a cute Afro, twist out, and other styles from completely unambiguous black men and women on their pages. Now you can feel how you want about it, I’m not here to change anyone’s opinion. I just hope the same energy is kept for others because I can name several brands in similar categories that don’t get half the complaints about this as Briogeo does when I speak about them. For example, I have yet to hear this same complaint about Ecoslay and I know for a fact that the prevalence of black women on their social media was slim to none until a little over a year ago. I mean ERR body on that page was white. So is that change only relevant now because black women are hyping it? Because that’s how it seems. I’m all for increasing representation across the board especially for type 4 naturals, but I’m also not going to pin a brand against the wall for not doing something that I know for a fact I’ve seen them do. I can only speak from my own perspective though 🤷🏾♀️

I knew you’d love the co-wash. It’s really a one stop. It cleanses (love the light suds), it’s slippery and good to detangle with. And your hair is super soft and immediately ready to style (you said these exact words as I was typing...lol). It’s def my #1 cowash.

Glad to hear you like that co-wash; I've had my eye on it for a while. i love Briogeo; I've tried the scalp exfoliating shampoo (really moisturizing), and Don't Despair deep condish.

Hey boo! I feel you. I kind of thought of Briogeo as more of a novelty line, but certain people really had me looking eventually. It is high in protein though so I can see it not being super ideal for everyone. Tfw girlie 💜💜💜

If you go on Sephora there’s a gift set with both of them for an amazing price. Takira Thompson posted the link for the Sephora friends and family discount on her community tab, I think that ends tomorrow. And the VIB sale is coming at the end of the month. Either sale would be a great time to get the kit! It pretty much make the Don’t Despair a few dollars.

Try loading your cart up on the actual Briogeo website and leave it for a few days. That’s what I did and they sent me a better coupon that the welcome offer.

Anyone sub to the kinde box and actually receive it? They said shipping would be no later than the 14th. Mine shipped on the 17th and hasn't moved. Also weird a new brand isn't posting on their feed or stories 🤔
Many people have contacted me saying they received and loved their boxes. If you have issues with your order then I suggest contacting their customer service team.

Customer feedback is fine. My simple point is, if you’re having issues with shipping then that is something you should voice to THEM. All the customer feedback in the world won’t help you figure out why your order is delayed. Hope you enjoy your box when it gets to ya!
