I've played in a band, been a lead singer, and wrote my own songs. I thought they were pretty mediocre, until I heard Corey. Then they sound like Mozart. You don't have to be a music writer to know what sucks, though. Just a music listener. And yeah, you're right. His better songs are bought or written by someone else. Something In Your Eyes is pretty catchy. He didn't write it. Go 4 It was one he bought the music to. And he tried to use that as his break out song, because I think he knows he sucks. Why else sing that one first on the Today Show and push it so hard? Possibly because Snoop was on it...but I think he knows, subconsciously.

I felt depressed at a cheap strip club once. Really sad and depressed. Watching this show gives me the same vibes. ….. kind of deep, kind of special. I’d pay to see him, For that feeling again.
People are always dumping on Corey and I admit his music probably won't win him any Grammys but if he has a band he has to pay and is booking gigs, I'm assuming he's getting paid for them, he must have a big enough fan base to sustain his music career.
