I had a white 92 Geo Storm as my first car as a teenager drove it into the ground in 2003.

I had a soft teal colored Storm with waves pin striped on the door's. Great lil car. I miss her. Drove her first couple years of college. Should have kept her!

It was chuckle worthy to see the driving gloves, especially on this type of car. Lol

This was my first new car (even color) off the dealership lot at age 24 (as opposed to only having used cars in my younger driving days). I LOVED my Geo Storm so much, I drove it for 10 years until someone crashed into me in 2002. I loved that little car... but of course time marches on, and that's definitely NOT a car i'd own today (but i'd buy one for my kids).

Seems like you’re my long lost brother from another mother! I too bought a 92 Storm GSI same colour as well, but mine was used and I bought it in 2000, someone t-boned my car in 2005 and it was written off. What I loved about the car was the unique look, what I hated was the name Geo!

Back in the day, these were cars parents bought their snooty, pouty, college aged daughters as a cheaper alternative to a VW Golf Turbo Cabriolet...

Right. They used to be a college cart. They were designed for that kind of use. That’s why we don’t see many of them on the road anymore. Now either rotten in the woods or kept all clean by car guys. I’m one of them. I only drive it when it’s sunny to prevent rust.

Was the name of this television show road test magazine? What became of it? The early to the mid 1990s awesome designs especially in JDM cars from Toyota, Nissan and Honda. IMHO Toyota's are no longer attractive with their sci-fi looks.

How come America can't do cars like this anymore, just phony, expensive EVs and boring box SUVs.

Safety regulations unfortunately are a big part of it, cars cant be light anymore because of all the crash bars and airbags and have to rollover without caving in. I'm not buying anything made after the early 2000s in the foreseeable future.
