Since covid my balcony become my garden. I grew tomatoes,cucumber,radish,courgette,squash, potatoes,spinach, a tons of salad. This year I add watermelon and melon,with flowers dahlia and mint. This journey helped me to reduce my stress, to learn patience, to never give up and that a failure is a lesson not a bad thing.😊 I hope God will give me my house soon to enjoy it more. You do great Gaz!😊

I know it’s not for everyone, but for many of us we were not meant to live like a sardine in a cubicle in a big no nature city. You just need to adjust to your climate and the micro climate of your garden. Did you know cabbage and potatoes grow like crazy in Alaska? It's the cooler weather and the long summer days with a lot of light.

The weather in Italy has been crazy in the last few years so it's becoming more difficult to grow plants 😭 I hope it will adjust a bit in the coming times

I love the combination of a real chef and home grown good! Such a joy to watch 🙌
For anyone that isn’t lucky enough to have a garden or balcony, I recommend window boxes - I have two self-watering ones, where they have a reservoir underneath, and even though they’re not big, you’d be surprised what you can grow in them! And they end up like a little garden with insects and everything. Add a couple of potted herbs on the windowsill inside, and you have your own mini kitchen garden :)

Squash, beans, and corn. That is what the ancient natives grew together. The squash, and beans fertilized the soil, the corn stalks gave a stalk for the vines to grow up on
I’m a hairdresser so have lots of cut hair I put that down to keep slugs and snails off they hate it and it’s degradable ❤

Love this! And thanks for the elderflower recipe, It's my favourite thing in the world. For 3 years I've been foraging elderflower and drying some to have for tea all winter and using the rest to do elderflower cordial. Have just finished doing 5 litres of it! Going out to collect some more to try this brulée now haha

My garden is absolutely my favorite place to be! Even if I'm not actually doing any work, I love just observing my plants and all the wildlife that lives in the little habitat I've created. There are so many birds, butterflies, bees, wee little spiders and other critters, I never get bored watching them! Also, your new friends are lovely, and very, very lucky! 😊
