I like that you aren’t pushing products and you are making what you want with what you have! Not my original idea, but I made a ring using leather and a doll clothes buckle .
Thank you for the great ideas. I just tanned my first hide, a gifted elk hide. Now I have a lot of leather and no leather skills to start with. These are perfect for me to start with. 👍
I have put this video forward for a competition in my leather club best of luck son.
Fantastic glad to hear it.
Video pending investigation.
Where will this competition be aired
@@caseyjonesbklyn648 it is a competition based in Devin UK in previous years it has been attended by the public but we have decided to host it online we are in talks to stream on CZcams!
Just saw this, how'd the video do?
A HELPFUL HINT: When punching holes in leather with a rotary punch as in the above video, the crafter should put a piece of scrap leather under the project leather & then punch the hole, piercing both pieces of leather. When doing this, the crafter will hear a certain sound that reveals penetration through at least the project leather. The project leather then has a clean-cut hole.
This is a really awesome tip. I want to honestly thank you for sharing. I added honesty, because sometimes when you're reading things comments the tone sounds sarcastic.
I have been struggling with this exact problem for years and never actually thought there was a way to avoid it.
So again thank you.
anyone else drooling over that pile of leather?
Some awesome tips to minimize waste, great ideas.
ANOTHER HELPFUL HINT: When sharpening leather shears, I use a large piece of Reynold's Aluminum Foil and with the shears, cut as many narrow strips of the foil as possible. This method eliminates having to have this need to be remedied by a professional blade sharpener.
Great video for me - beginner
Awesome video I mainly been making wallets and bic lighter holders with scraps
Love the rings
Hello!
I'm from Brazil.
You made a short video but with many easy and enjoyable projects to learn and do.
Thanks for the videos or the PDF templates.
From here in Brazil my desire for success and that every day I can learn more and more that beautiful craft.
Take care!
A progressive effort toward a success
Thank you so much for the projects to keep me busy. Very cool.
ANOTHER HELPFUL HINT: When cleaning the crud from a cocobolo wood power leather burnisher, the crafter can fold a paper towel into a 2" X 2" square and moderately dampen it with denatured alcohol, hold it firmly against the cocobolo burnisher and then, turn-on the power switch. Depending on the amount of crud on the burnisher, the paper towel should be able to clean it, "slick as a whistle" in a very short amount of time.
This was very nice. I’m glad I came across your channel. I have been leatherworking for several years but I’m always learning and looking for new ideas especially for my scraps. Thank you very much. I’m subscribing to your channel. Much luck to you and happy crafting!
Fantastic ideas and great video! I thought your use of commentary and music was very good - very entertaining, AND making the projects available at no cost - you "da man"! Keep up the good work!
Nice. I've recently picked up leather craft I love it
Great stuff, thanks for sharing!
Good use of scrap material
I really like leather works
Excellent video, to stimulate use of scraps---especially when time is available and nothing much else to do.
Will definitely help in developing own ideas for scrap usage,by viewers.
Well done.thank you
Loved it! Do you know what can I make with smaller pieces of leather? i need to make objects that can be used more than decoration and applied for home supplies. Thank you.
Thank you so much !!! I needed this video!! Take care and stay safe my friend !!
Exelentes ideas,felicidades.

I got some leather samples from.my mom, when they bought a new sofa. Now I know what I will do with it!!
Awesome idea..thanks
Bravo, vieja.
I like your style! These simple projects give me something to practice on with the myriad of scraps that I have! Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm subscribing... :)
great ideas, thank you very much for the video!
Thank you for this tutorial. I am just starting to learn how to make things with leather and this looks like a great place to start. Do you have anything for a cell phone cover that folds over like a wallet maybe? Just thought I would ask. :-)
Nice job. Happy to give your 1000th thumbs up.
Cool! Thanks
good stuff
thanks
I gather scraps of leather and other fabrics that I find when people throw away leather chairs or couches I will cut sections or when I go to the junk yard I’ll cut up a seat. I’ve gathered some real nice leather for just investing time.
clean
Muito bom. Posta mais vídeos.
Thank you very much for sharing these great projects. (I am a new subscriber.) You have very easy to follow tutorials and nice quality to your end creations. Thank you again for sharing your ideas.
Great video
Great projects. What type of paper do you use for printing?
Nice design sir I have interest to make like this
Hi! I have a question... I want to make coasters from scrap leather. But........ do I have to give the leather some kind of finish or other treatment so it keeps pretty with wet soda glasses and hot coffee mugs?
I like sunglasses case..
Great vid! Where do I buy one of your guitar pick holders?
Justin Hoffman make one... it’ll take 20 mins
Where do you get your leather ? Is there a trick to get cheap leather to start practicing without puting a lot of money on a material i'm not sure I like to use.
what thickness did you use in this video?
Check the instructables in the description, all that information is there!
Aladdin + Moses (prince of Egypt) = You 😁😁
When will you make another video it looks like you have vanished.
Where can i get that paper
Well well well, when I put on ma leather, and rock to sum Metallica, Delta Parole, Foo Fighters or the Smashing Pumpkins I feel like I can do anything in the whole wide world.
where do you guys get your metal snaps for projects?
I’m not related to this channel, but there’s amazon, springfield leather company, Rocky Mountain leather supply as well. I get cheap hardware by ravaging old bags that are being thrown out, for things like D rings and magnetic snaps (they can be reused as long as nothing is rusted).
@@grimtt thank you. i am just starting and only found grommet online, i was searching for the wrong keyword.
Francois Dupont You are welcome! Also, Etsy online has storefronts that sell buckles and snaps and things. Good luck with your leather-crafting!
I like the leather magnet money clip project, but to those watching… do yourself a favor and make it a clip. I can’t tell you how many parking garage tickets and hotel room key cards I’ve erased with my old magnetic money clip! LOL Take it from experience! :-)
Great ideas, but you skip through all the "teaching parts!"
Check the tutorial in the description!
@@DanielStabile1 ok
What size thickness do I use?
Check out the link in the description, it has all that information
Magnets wipe your cards magnetic strips and chips. Otherwise nice vid.
1:50 so has anyone else realized that the magnet in the magnetic card/ money clip, is probably going to play hell with your credit cards ? good luck going through re-issued cards like mad money !
If you read the instructables you will see why the magnet actually won't mess with the credit card. I appreciate the concern though!
Nice but video was too complicated and sped up there were multiple things happening at once.
Check out the tutorial in the description!
Thanks!
I like your ideas, but damn pro, you need to learn to burnish your leather.
Extremely bad quality of goods at the end
Nice design sir I have interest to make like this
