@@funkytime69 because he is one of the best elytra flyers. It's one of his trademarks. And because he doesn't really have visible traits to distinguish him, wings are a good to go to.

This entire exchange is just hilarious; Grian is trying to have the upper hand since he has Scar in a vulnerable position...and Scar keeps derailing his authority at every turn.
But then Grian manages to turn it around by tricking Scar into sticking a cursed Jellie Head on...XD
