Watched a ton of G1 as a little kid and yeah, Reflector was prevalent in season 1. Interesting that in the cartoon, Reflector always a sort of hive mind, and they/he would always talk in unison, often moving as one. The only distinction between the sub-units was that Viewfinder (though they're never referred to in the cartoon by their individual names) had the closed aperture in the center of his chest. Aside from that, the three were perfectly identical
