  • I am not sure if it is legal to upload this but let's see what happens. Dave Foley and Scott Thompson from The Kids In The Hall as awkward guests on Loveline, a show I used to watch like every night.

    Found this video organically as a KITH fan because I’m going to see them live tomorrow in San Francisco - had no idea it was posted by the man behind the best TMBG podcast. Thanks for sharing this classic video and wonderful podcast! Looking forward to the Patreon. - Michael G.

      I am very jealous you are seeing them live. And yes, I am all over the internet. I am looking forward to the Patreon too, but of course, me and Dave both separately got COVID this month which had delayed us recording stuff for weeks. Damn it.

    What is with the audio constantly moving from one ear to the other when listening with headphones? I feel like I have Scott Thompson and Dave Foley running back and forth in my brain. And as someone who has spent a lot of time with Scott in real life it's a weird experience lol

    The rape victim call is such a sign of the times. Today, she could press charges well after the event. I cannot believe they discouraged this woman from pressing charges. He has a family, but he still committed a crime.

      they didn't discourage anything, they asked if she was going to and she said she really doesn't want to... and the doctor said she still has the option if she wants to

      @@jordancooperlalala Ha! "In the closet."
      I don't know if Scott would appreciate that joke or get cross.
      I had a feeling the graphic novel didn't go over well because you never hear about it.
      You know they renamed Danny Husk "Wally" for Brain Candy so that Danny could be preserved for a project.
      Oh, well. Superheroes go through worse for years in comics and do survive bad storylines and even death!

    • @jordancooperlalala
      @jordancooperlalala  Před 3 lety

      Ha, that wasn't intended as a joke, it's just a fact! The comic just doesn't work at all. I can see it straining to capture the humor of Danny Husk (my favorite Kids in the Hall character) but you just can't do that without Scott's acting and timing and delivery. The art is disgustingly terrible and there's a bizarre lack of jokes throughout, and the ones that are there are really bad. It may have worked as a movie, maybe from having a spark of inspiration on set, I don't know.

    • @AvengerII
      @AvengerII Před 3 lety

      @@jordancooperlalala Yeah, I had a feeling it wasn't a very good graphic novel. Some things just don't translate between mediums and it depends on execution. Also, you have to understand how sequential story art works. Different mindset than 3-5 minute sketch comedy.

      the prologue says that he wrote it while recovering from cancer, so he basically guilts you into liking it before you start reading it. and then you don't like it, and then you read the prologue again and feel like an asshole.

    I hope the girl who was raped by her friend didn’t pursue legal action. It’s not worth it in that case. I can’t believe none of them suggested she talk to him about it. Seems obvious, but nope.
