Alan Lee is amazing on his own league, but Tagawa genius cannot be replaced... How he fully immersed us into this character and made us forget it was only voice-acting...truly a masterpiece of a performance
I honestly love how they added the whole thing about Shang Tsung stealing the souls of those he kills. It makes his character so much more intimidating and interesting.
We'll see soon if he will be back in MK1. There are some interesting twists revealed so far: Mileena and Kitana are for example in better terms than before, albeit there is still some tension between them. Now Scorpion and Sub-zero are brothers: Bi-han is now Sub-zero, with Kuai Liang taking role of scorpion(presumably). Oh, and Raiden is back, except he's human now and younger. He still has lightning powers, though.
I love how much of an unapologetic A-hole Shang Tsung has always been. I love how even Joker of all people doesn't like being jabbed by the sorcerer. No matter the situation Shang always comes across as the evil magician with tons of backup plans and quips.

Shang is an opportunistic character. Not nessicarly evil evil. (Depending on ones personal perspective and viewpoints) but he is self serving and antagonist at his best. At his worst,he is cunning and honestly the best villain of mk imho. His charisma is off the charts. But gameplay wise has always been fun. But like any character,they have their own niche,you just gotta find it and play it good as you can. ♡

The actor/voice actor IS Shang Tsung, and will always be on the MK community, you can't change that ! The voice, the laugh, the style, the model, the personnality.. Everything that the actor did on the IRL movie as Shang Tsung makes the character on MK11 more likeable, nicer and cool (and many more lol). Like the actor was born to be Shang Tsung irl, THE Shang Tsung we all need in the game franchise. It's just that perfect! I think it was the best gift he ever gave to us, and i hope he still realizes it❤
