They were talking about a bad day and tomorrow will be better. As midnight hits…it’s 00:00 o’clock, and a new day starts and there is a chance to make a better day. Maybe right a wrong, or realize it was t your fault….I actually think it is a happy song, because tomorrow can always be a brighter day.
I agree. It’s basically saying no matter how bad a particular day is, at midnight the day starts over. It’s hopeful and, to me, not sad at all. I think it’s intended to be a comforting and motivational song.
@@OT7_DopeOldARMY exactly. not sure why anyone would say it's a bummer song or that it's sad. That happens a lot tho where people talk about bts songs being 'depressing' or 'sad' when if your actually paying close attention to what they're saying, you can see that most of the time all they're saying is that there are down times and on those days sometimes you just have to accept it for what it and those down moments for what they are. But the undertone is also saying to realize there will someday just maybe be brighter days, and that should be your hope to continue on moving forward past it. Fr tho I've heard people say black swan and blue and grey are sad or depressing. And yea while the words aren't exactly upbeat and cheerful i dont exactly think depressing or it being a down or bummer song would be the right words to use. Such songs still are simply speaking a truth about how you feel sometimes, and most of the time when listening to such songs you don't feel sad but reflective and like you can relate to that feeling. And both of these particular songs don't end on a sad note but instead have that bit of light shining behind that darkness. Like maybe not in a everything's going to be better it's okay sort of feeling, but more of a meloncholy or somber kind of state where you can draw awareness to what your feeling and realize okay so that's what I'm feeling huh, maybe now I can start making some progress instead of feeling like I'm in the same spot now that I know this. (Sorry for the rant, I just get frustrated when people boil all the depth of their lyrics down to just a couple words like oh it's a sad song okay got it😑)
RMs masterpiece. RM wrote this song after he reading emotional messages from Army. He wrote this song to comfort Armys. RM said he listened to this song so many times during pandemic.

This song is my anti depression song, it’s for days where I feel like I’m breaking, when my day has been too long and I have been too cruel to myself
Me too... especially last year, on my birthday night I felt so down, too many things yet too little time for me to be able taking care of those things. I felt so hopeless and useless but I couldn't even cried for it at time. It was all bottle up and making me so depressed. But then at 23.55 o'clock I played this song, it was just open the my emotions gate, I finally able to cry while listening this song and watching the MV, and afterward I was able to rethink and sorting my thoughts and feelings. So yes, this song is also one of my anti depression song too (along with Spring Day, Promise, Magic Shop, 2!3!, Young Forever, and We are Bulletproof : the Eternal).

I have a friend who is a nurse and she said every morning she plays the tiny tan version of this and she said it has helped her immensely through this pandemic. I also have those days I need to be reminded at 0 o'clock a new day comes we can do it happier..

It’s sad but it’s actually more of a hopeful song. At the end of the day, we all have these thoughts of “why did i do this?”, “i shouldnt have done that” or “i feel so stupid” etc. But as the clock strikes 00:00 a new day begins. Learn from the mistakes you made and live happily on the new day.
Because you are so emotional I am not sure I could cope watching review Jin’s solo songs ‘Abyss’ about his time of being lost and feeling low and ‘Tonight’ a song he wrote after losing his beloved pets which Ihave listened to so many times and have never once managed to not cry. It is so beautiful and if you have pets and love them it is so relateable and if you have ever felt blue then you can relate to Abyss. Not only a beautiful person inside and out but writes beautiful emotional songs and sings them with so much emotion like no other. If you feel strong one day! 💜

it's interesting how this song can be interpreted differently, just because where each person is in their life.
it is a sad song, but also hopeful. we all have bad days, some really bad, some less, but the message, to me at least is, that tomorrow is a new day, no matter what happened today.
To me it wasn't a sad song....it was a hopeful one. It talks about lying in bed, beating yourself up over the way the day went, but then there is a reset button at midnight where you can pat yourself on the back and start over. What a beautiful concept.
My interpretation of Zero OClock is that it is talking about having a bad day and knowing that at 00:00 a new day will beginning and you have a new day to start over and that we will start the day happy. So it is a song of hope and letting go of things and allowing yourself to start a new. I love this song it is so pretty and Jimin got to emotional during the concert. It was the first concert they had during the pandemic so it was on-line. So all the guys were really feeling the loss of ARMY because of all the concerts being canceled and not having that same energy that they would usually get. All their speeches during the concert was so full of emotion especially day 1. Jimin and RM made me cry that day.i am so glad that they are able to do in-person concert again.
Watched this with you'll on the live but had to come back again - such a good song and a great reaction. I think of it as a comforting song saying tomorrow is a whole new start no matter how horrid today feels

Funny how a song can mean different things to different people. I believe this song is actually meant to be hopeful.
Every day you get a chance to start over. You leave the previous day behind at 0 O'clock and begin again. Another chance to have a good day and a good attitude.
This is one of my favorite BTS songs because the lyrics speak to me. This song is saying that there will always be bad days but do not fret because a day is only 24 hours. Tomorrow is another day to start bettering your situation. Do not give up because a day is not your entire life.
I love the message of this song ... that while your problems might not go away when the clock strikes midnight, at least there is a new day where you can try to solve the problems and even if you can't you have a new chance by the end of the day, to make it perhaps easier.
I work as a nurse in hospital and I had taken care of this patient and the night before she was alert talking and everything when I received her back the next night the day shift nurse told me she had massive brain bleeding and non operational because of her age and she was dying. Her daughter who never left her side asked me if she would die any time soon of course I could not give a answer so she wanted to go home to shower I told her I would remain with her until she returned. About 5 minutes after she left her breathing became very shallow I called the daughter and told her come back ASAP. Her mother died I was holding her hand. I felt heavy with guilt because her daughter wanted to be with her. I sat in my care and cried so hard then this song came on my CD was playing and it lifted my spirits. I love this song so much. The song talking about giving yourself second chances everyday when the clock srtucks twelve at night. It's talking about the times when we are almost ready to give up, and feel empty inside.. When we are completely exhausted of fighting for everything... It talks about extremely difficult times in life and our day to day life frustrations all at once...

For me, when i first heard this song .... i cried because its too beautiful. for me it means a day ends with lots of regrets or sadness or tiredness at 00.00 o clock and after that new day starts. may be everything will not be okay but with new day, it can be new start and you will be more happier than before.
For me it sounds sad, but at the same time it’s hope for a better tomorrow. The Tiny Tan version is really cute, maybe watch that and you’ll feel a little differently?

they are just talking about having a bad day. and could be bad day after bad day. but its really about the new day that starts at zero o'clock, and that the new day could be different.
Zero o'clock always gives me hope that things will get better. I have a tattoo of 00:00 that reminds me every day that even if thing got bad the next day you will have new opportunities to fix things and start over.
You should watch the Tiny Tan MV for this song, it’s so sweet (and visually pretty) and might help you understand the song better?. It makes me cry errrrytime haha but mostly because I feel comforted by the end and that makes me cry 😂

The ON:E audio isn't my favorite. It was their first live stream concert, and I think they were still working out the technicalities balancing the audio with the backing track. It almost seemed like Jimin and JK's in-ears were messing them up a little and they had some flat moments. It must have been a wild time for them all since they were basically exploring a whole new world. Sound engineers suddenly had to adapt to the problem of live music without a live crowd. I wonder how much of the crowd noises recorded from living rooms and bedrooms around the world were audible to BTS? All of them adapted fast, too. BTS has put out some of their finest quality live vocal performances since then. It's as if the sound guys figured out they had to let their raw voices be the focus instead of smoothing them over like they do in regular concerts with a more dominant backing track. That's how I visualize it, anyway.

This is not a sad song but a very hopeful song. They are saying that regardless of all the struggles once the clock strikes twelve there is always a possibility to turn things around and be happier ; that bad days aren’t forever.
The point is after zero oclock, a new day begin. You can start again. Whatever happens in your day, you can start again. How can that be depressing.

Also, I just wanted to put this out there, but it's okay if you don't react the same as someone else. It doesn't mean you love BTS(Not just BTS, but anything you're interested in) any less than someone else. That's actually something I struggle with reminding myself often, that if I don't cry, laugh, or react a certain way from something, it doesn't mean I don't feel anything from it.

I dunno if it's just me, but I think the translations in that video were kinda off. I definitely recommend checking the doolset translations if you haven't already, of course lol. But yeah it's more of a hopeful song and the sad parts are just painting a picture of how someone who is going through a hard time or having a rough day may be feeling, but they wanted to give hope that the start of a new day can give you a chance to start fresh. 💜
Can you react to let go live performance by bts?
It's a real shame you couldn't tell the lyrics not showing were "And you're going to be happy" in English, as it completely changes the meaning to what you were thinking ): without knowing that it can seem like a sad song, but it's actually one meant to help reassure ARMY.
Your new editing is getting more and more slick, but the closeups are saying more than you think they are saying. LOL Closeup cuts create a dramatic narrative. It's my unsolicited advice to use them sparingly. :-)
