This is a good list, looks like some new hotels recently opened. My go-to hotel was the Jardines de Sabatini Apartosuites, located on the Sabatini Gardens, a 3-star hotel with rooms around 150 euro. The rooms are clean, modern and come equipped with a kitchen. There is a rooftop bar which overlooks the Royal Palace. The breakfast is standard fare with hot and cold options. There is a private classic car museum as well, which you can see at designated times. Location can't be beat, about a ten minute walk to Príncipe Pío and Plaza de España stations. Parking too is near-by, though I am unsure of the rate. I stayed here twice in '21 and '22, both times I enjoyed it.

Love the channel! I'll be visiting Madrid again, finally, after 42 years, when I spent six fantastic weeks there on a high school study program. I'm looking at the Heritage Hotel, in Salamanca. It's a Relais & Chateaux property and those are usually top of the line, but I can't find much information about it online or on CZcams besides the usual slideshow/music videos.

@@gmiac7721 sorry, we misread your initial question, if in Spain you talk about a hotel in Salamanca, it will be understood as a hotel in the city of Salamanca. We haven't stayed at that hotel, the reviews in Booking.com are quite positive www.booking.com/hotel/es/heritage-madrid.es.html?aid=359492 but the location is quite off the centre of Madrid to be ideal for tourism in the city.
We stayed at the H10 villa de La Reina, it was fantastic !

Hi Tony. I'll arriving in Madrid in March and I'll be renting a car and heading to either Seville or Malaga (which do you suggest?) on my way to the Algarve. I don't necessarily want to stay in Madrid. What city or place would you recommend I stay on my 1st night? I prefer smaller towns. Thank you in advance.
