appreciate the love! we do have a new novice mode you may want to kick the tires on, added in a recent update (if you hit the menu button (top right) on your playdate from the main menu, you can access the settings))

Update: Gun Trails has a Novice mode which is much more my jam! Also Angel Pop came out a few days after posting and is splendid!

@@PlaydatePlayer it's uniqueness. I could've gone for a steam deck and it would probably be worth more but the playdate looks like my old gameboy and I love that it still receives updates and has a little community. Its probably overpriced for what it is but i love unique things. What would you say the best games are?
@@havenloss8107 Yeah I hear you. I was (and am) a massive Nintendo fan but I wanted to get back to a simpler vibe. The PD takes me back to the bedroom coding days which were fun. Plus it's tiny? ve had to stop drooling over it :) Yeah, y'know I did have a crack at Pulp early doors. despite a lifelong desire, I'm still hopeless at even basic programming. With this, I did get a 4 room "game" up and on my Playdate. it's a dreadful game but to see it on the screen and move my little guy around with a d-pad was a real kick. I'll have to revisit it at some point.
Unpopular opinion, but all Gun Trails has going for it is the art.
Entitled to your view! I think it has more than that, I just suck at it.
