True, i just hate how hiro mashima making lucy loses in a battle whatsoever for example the grand magic game "flare vs lucy" she basically nearly won, and yes all thanks to her she save her guild members from the tartaros battle not to mention, keeping the guild members all strong and together. I love her so much shes more power full than she is rn she gained experience from the grand magic game (dunno if u understand what im saying) but just watch the battle between brandish and lucy SHES AMAZING

Lucy can be incredibly strong. She's a descendant of Anna Heartfilia, which says ALOT. Unfortunately, whenever Lucy does something extraordinary, none of the others are there to see it happen like in the tartoras arc. She freed everyone from that spell that Mard Geer cast and she sacrificed one of her dear friends. She saved everyone which helped everyone come back. If that isn't strong, I don't know what is. Lucy lost her parents and Aquarius. She's been through a lot.
And the time at the Magic Games, she unleashed tons of power and it ended up being suppressed.
She also took the pain of Natsu curse. The end curse. She also was smart enough
And had enough magic power to start the fairy sphere

@@fairy_tailgirl3662 yep if you look at all her abilites with stardess and add her intelligence to it she definetly has the potential to beat some strong people. If you think about if she uses aries form she can cancel any spells that need incantations which is a huge advantage against many wizards. The creators just need to make her use her intelligence in every battle rather then when its a last resort because then people will finally have evidence that she really is strong
Lucy is clearly the strongest celestial spirit mage who EVER existed, she’s the only celestial mage in the anime who uses urano metria, she summoned all her spirits at the same time to save Loki and to close the gate with Yukino and she’s the only one who can use some of the power of her spirits to use her star dresses. So my question is, why is she so underrated ?
I think some people put her down because their comparing her to Natsu, Erza, or Gray. Sure in terms of power she weaker then them, but I mean Natsu is a dragon slayer that was also the masterpiece of Zeref’s demons. Erza is the daughter of the first dragon slayer (who was a dragon for centuries before actually giving birth to her). And Gray is Natsu’s rival and is a powerhouse on equal terms with Natsu.
The Zodiac Gold keys are stated to use a huge amount of magic power to summon and keep out and Lucy from the start was able to easily summon them one at a time (and early on into the series proved she could summon multiple zodiac spirits quite literally back to back). So Lucy is no less a powerhouse then Wendy (who is a dragon slayer healer! ) she is simply teamed up with a group of three that are absurd even by absurd mage standards.
Actually, Lucy seems to be the second strongest of all time. The only person whom I believe to outrank her would be her ancestor Anna Heartfilia. If you haven't watched the whole fairytail thing then you'll find out what I mean later. If you have then I hope you see my point.
Elegantly Wicked yeah see your point but I mean we don’t know a lot about her. we know she was strong enough to open the gate but like lucy is strong enough to close it sooo 🤷🏻♀️😂 I don’t think we can really compare them and if lucy has practically all the strongest zodiac keys what does her ancestor has ? normal keys ?

You said you thought Lucy was the strongest celestial wizard ever to have existed because she has all the keys right? Anna and Layla did too, only Layla gave aquarius to a friend. Lucy pretty much inherited her skills. Unless you mean she's the strongest in her time now

Wait till she saves Natsu's own life and later on does some more cool stuff; in the sequel she even saved Natsu from himself at the cost of serious burns(thank goodness they have Wendy); she's on the rise and no matter how much fan-service is sent her way, she still has epic moments and in most of them, she's protecting Natsu, the monster hard to take down XD Ironic, huh?
She would've died holding onto it but was able to hold it for several seconds
Lucy is so underrated AND IS NOT WEAK lucy has been able live through countless of torture she can summon three spirits at once AND THE KING and in Dragon cry she doesn't even have to use a key to summon them plus of her other spells she learns on the way lucy may look weak but that is because of the type of magic she uses when really she is one of the most powerful celestial wizards she is not weak
No Lucy is the most powerful celestial spirit that's why in the with the clock incident she was selected become the clock
Yes shes amazingly strong and if you have seen the final season of FT she died and came back and shes gets hurt so many times but put up with the pain and yet no one reconizes this like at first she acted like a spoiled brat but the more you saw what she had gone through and what she had indoored through her young life then you will feel bad but me I watched her grow stronger and her bond with her friends makes her even stronger and it amazes me how she can make any enemy her friend and that is why shes one of the strongest memebers and yet no one sees her like shes strong some times which makes me sad
She's actually has been able to summon all of her spirits one time, get the attention of the Spirit King and summon him through Aquarius. And that's not all of it. She and Levy are honestly some of my favorite characters.

ღ Møchï tea ღ Yes Lucy is such an amazing example of character development. In the beginning she was pretty weak but she learned extremely strong magic in just two years! Most of the others were in the guild since they were little kids and they’ve been honing their magic for years but Lucy only recently started fighting seriously with magic and yet she’s still able to accomplish this amazing feats!
*For people saying Lucy Hearfilia is weak and useless, read this:*
-She mastered Force Gate Closure, if a mage tried to do this technique but wasn't strong enough, they will be pulled in the Celestial Realm along with the spirit.
-She can summon multiple spirits at once. Karen Lilica, a famous Celestial Mage, died when she tried to open a second gate key.
-She saved Loke and had the Celestial King change the rules of the Celestial Realm.
-She summoned 5 Zodiac and 4 Silver keys all at once in front of the Celestial King. Loke/Leo was surprised by this, even the King himself was pleased with this.
-She learned to master the Urano Metria, the ultimate magic of the stars.
-If it wasn't for her, Cana would left Fairy Tail and never had the chance to tell Gildarts that he is her father.
-She was the first one to know where Mavis' grave is.
-She can perform Unison Raid, a feat that even if two wizards spend years to practice it they could not do it. She perfectly did this with Juvia even it if was their first time. And eventually, with Wendy.
-If it wasn't for her, Loke would have died, and if he did, he would not have reunited with Aries when Lucy defeated Angel/Sorano.
-She was able to do the Recompense Summoning, also known as the Forbidden Technique. By summoning three spirits at once, and breaking the golden key of the spirit she has a strong bond with, she summoned the Celestial Spirit King.
-By summoning the King, *SHE SAVED EVERYONE FROM MARD GEER'S SPELL*
-Until now, she was the only Celestial Mage known to have mastered the Star Dress. 10 Star Dresses of 10 Zodiac Spirits.
-She was the only one who came up with a plan on how to stop Acnologia.
-She learned Fairy Sphere for a short amount of time and was the one to activate it.
-She rewrote END's book, saving Natsu's life.

Yes! You explained it so perfectly! Lucy is really extremely strong she is simply portrayed as weak. If people still somehow think she’s weak, then remember that in the Grand Magic Games Aquarius and Juvia were an equal match for each other. Since Lucy can also summon other spirits along with Aquarius, I personally believe she could beat Juvia. And Juvia is portrayed as a very strong character so that shows you how strong Lucy is
She’s always INCREDIBLY brave and trusts her friends sm to where she jumped off a building knowing natsu would come she also used her will power in the clock arc to stop the infinity clock she’s changed people who were leaning towards the dark side which I Haven’t even seen a lot of characters do she’s been beaten up the most out of all the characters and locked up and she still stands proud her very close family member betrayed her and she still found it in her heart to forgive a strong A-tribute if I do say so myself. she also stood up TO HER FATHER who was absent her whole life and borderline abusive which took guts not to mention she’s come up with most case of action plans in the show which is very important and she even had to fight her own celestial spirits I don’t think there’s anyone quite as loving as Lucy ik everyone in fairytail loves there friends beinf it one of the main points of the show but she is truly one of the most pure hearted souls
She also launched herself into the sky to save natsu once 🤣🤣 even the guy she was fighting was like damn she has guts
She also brought the whole guild bacj together and was the only one who didn’t loose faith
I wish people could recognise Lucy's true strength...

Literally EVERY female character in Fairy Tail is great. Tbh, Fairy Tail is probably one of the few shonen animes where all of yhe female characters are well written, has good development, and are all strong in their own rights.
You can't really count Yui tho. She was designed to be a masochistic self insert.
Honestly, I may love lots of characters from Fairy Tail and love how strong they are, but Lucy is probably one of the strongest. I fact, I kinda envy her. I want to be like her.

I feel like lucy is meant to be weak in the start so we can watch her grow and cheer for her. that is why she seems so weak. she is surrounded by people stronger then her so when she does get stronger people don't notice because natsu just beat up another guy.

I know I am late but I have reasons that Lucy is very very powerful.
First of all when she was battling jackal she heated him which in other case not even natsu could second she summon Aquarius when she was little she had that most bad life because he father never paid attention to her but she still didn't care and she Trie to change that third if all Lucy may seem weak because his she dresses or because how she acts but she isn't she is that most hard working and Persistence fairy tale member their. Last but not least her mom died that same day, month and year as the dragon disappear and I think is fate that brought nalu together.

See, in the grand magic games day four naval battle, Juvia and Aquarius faced off against each other. During that, Wendy commented on how she was surprised that Juvia was able to stand up to Aquarius. And then we saw how Juvia and Aquarius came to a stalemate. So if Juvia is strong and Aquarius is as strong, why is Lucy so underrated?? I know Lucy takes energy summoning her spirits, but she should be portrayed as a little stronger at least right??

Но её сила в её духе, она очень смелая. Её заслуги не часто освещаются в гильдии, но она и правда очень сильна. Ей постоянно приходилось работать над собой, что бы стать сильнее, она не может просто сожрать огоньку, что бы всех раскидывать, ей нужно учить заклинания, тренироваться, выкладываться на все сто. Однозначно она мой любимый персонаж.
