The week of the 4th of July we are gonna ride from Jackson, TN to the Dragon, then Cherahola Skyway and on the way home, we'l go toward Somerset and ride the Rattlesnake :)l

Yeah, I don't know. You hustle that Goldy along nicely. And 10 points to you for going tail end Charlie. That was the no. 1 spot to be in. No lids and wandering all over the pavement like a mad woman takin' a pee on a windy day... that just says to me "Warning Will Robinson, danger approaching". Each to their own, but I was waiting for the unicycle, the lion tamer and the trapeze act ahead of you. That's no criticism of your riding, by the way. You handle that machine beautifully. You deserve it.

In 1992 I was in the army stationed in Richmond Ky. I bought a H.D. Heritage at the London Ky dealer. Never rode the rattlesnake but had a lot of fun toolin and touring KY, WV, and PA. thanks for the memories.

I had a GL 1800 Goldwing, it was perfect, but I just didn’t like it. So I went back to my third Yamaha royal star venture, because they are so simple to work on, not as smooth as the Goldwing, not as fast as the Goldwing, a lot roomier than the Goldwing. But the Goldwing was so difficult to do basic maintenance on because of all that plastic. I just didn’t wanna deal with it anymore. Even though I could do all the work being an exmotorcycle mechanic for three different dealerships.
this new Goldwing, I’m sure it’s perfect, but I think they’re getting away from Basic, simple.. The new owners of these types of gold wings, they have to marry the dealer..
being a Honda, I’m sure it is a masterpiece just as the other gold wings were, except for the 1985 or 1986 special edition wing..
I have another Goldwing in a minute, if they made them simple. But I think they’re getting way ahead of themselves with all these systems that are cures for problems that really don’t exist.
