- I tried 7Sage and LSAT Demon, and this is my honest opinion. You have to find the right LSAT prep course for you, but hopefully my experience can help you decide which one to use.
Thank you for watching and joining me on my journey to go back to law school. I'm a millennial single mom, I did one year of law school right before the pandemic and had to withdraw because life was lifeing a little too hard. This is my second go at this, and this time I'm taking my time to do it right.
Please feel free to drop any questions you have about my journey and process in the comments.

I had a 134 i started using 7sage only increase 5 points. I been using LSAT daemon for 2 months and I am already in the 150s.
@@MiguelCM_98 keep going! I went from a 145 to a 170 pt. Don’t settle.
I use both! Because I qualified for the $1 for a year for LIVE at 7Sage, and the discounted Demon Basic plan. So I go to 7Sage for the live classes, and use the Demon Basic for the drilling.
how did you qualify for that?
@@LuckeyMaria if you’re approved for the LSAC fee waiver you qualify to get 7sage for $1 for a year.
@@ErikaMartinez-wc1ln love that! That’s smart.
Hi Whitney, your video was s-u-p-e-r helpful and I signed up for the LSAT Demon. Thanks!
Thank you, I’m glad it was helpful!
So crazy I said this awhile ago, but I thought I was crazy b/c everyone suggested one against the other. But I like how you said it depends on YOUR LEARNING style. LSATDemon was the only tool that made LG make sense when it was still a thing.
@@Itsdominiquelebby thank you, yes. If 7sage works well for someone I’d never tell them to change what’s working. I do believe that LSAT Demon can be great for everyone, but whatever gets the job done.
Thank you!! I’ve been using 7 sage and have all the problems you’re talking about. Will be making the switch.
Yes make the switch! I’ve been studying so much more now and thus doing so much better ever since.
This channel is golden, thank you Whitney!
@@shanedavey6993 thank you for watching! Please subscribe if you haven’t already, I have more videos coming. ❤️
lsat demon so far has a fee waiver for their basic plan thats $38 per month! Also 7 sage has an app too. I totally agree though lsat demon >>> 7sage. the explanation videos from the guy on 7sage sucked SO BAD. His explanations were so often like "oh this is so obviously wrong because its not the right answer" like thats no help at all
@@Thotcheeto23 literally NO HELP at all!!! And if it’s not that it’s a 30-minute screen record from a class to cover one question. ☹️
Your video was super helpful. I started with Kaplan which sounded similar approaches to what you described in 7sage. I downloaded LSAT Demon today! Definitely better for drilling.
@@chaylalewis831 I’m so glad this was helpful! Good luck with your studies.
Unfortunately, all the comments on the Demon are shadow banned. I have used all of the and by far The Demon is the best out there and reasonably priced. The Demon is excellent for LSAT prep. I pay $295 a month for classes, drilling
Same! I wish I started with it sooner, I’m using the $295 plan too right now.
this video has been so helpful, thanks!!
Question though, if you were starting your LSAT prep all over again and had 0 knowledge on the material (me rn lol) would you feel comfortable starting with LSAT demon? Because I don't know the fundamentals, I'm wondering if it would be better to do a 7sage/blueprint/etc. to learn the core concepts before going right into drilling with something like LSAT demon
I’m so glad you found this helpful! And this is a great question because I did have prior experience with the LSAT, and I still did find the fundamentals of 7Sage to be really helpful. I think a month of 7Sage to do the fundamentals would be helpful, but then I’d switch to LSAT Demon to get hands on. It shouldn’t take a full month to get through the fundamentals.
i'd definitely be interested in a video about when the best time for law school is. I'm currently a rising senior in college. I'm considering applying as a K-JD, but maybe taking a gap year is better. It would give me work experience, give me more time to study for LSAT, allow me to exploit my senior year grades to boost GPA, and let me save some money
I can definitely do this one next, thank you for watching!
This was very helpful. Thank you.
@@eatsleepv thank you for watching!
@@whitneychanell could you please do a video about LSAT scores/scholarships?
@@eatsleepv yes! I’m actually planning that video out now.
@@whitneychanell oh great! I look forward to it.
Girl same ! I don’t have adhd but the demon has been crazy
Yesss I love it, I love the way drills are set up but the explanation options really sold me.
I started with 7sage a couple weeks ago but the syllabus was too overwhelming with theory. Also ended up asking myself when I should be drilling and taking PTs.
I will say 7sage’s foundations did help me.
I Wanted to try demon out and it seems like their approach is more intuition and repetition. I also have ADHD and a busy schedule so I do feel like it’ll fit me better. I’m just worried that in the long run, I won’t grasp the concepts consistently since it seems more intuitive rather than learning how to break the questions down?
I might be wrong but that’s the vibe I got. Would you say the demon has conceptually taught you how to be consistent with the questions in the long run? I’m only a month into my studies so sorry for the long questions!
Hey! Yes 7sage foundations was helpful, I completed most of those. However, LSAT Demon actually teaches them in a way more intuitive and simple way. They have courses organized by section type and go over fundamentals as well. Their live classes are also way better because they answer everyone’s questions and allow you to ask questions about taking the test in general. It’s like having a group tutor. The fact that you switched to the Demon this early in your studies, you’re going to do great!
Would you say that 7Sage is good to use at first? Like for the foundations? Or can I get foundation and everything from LSAT Demon? I’ve been reading the powerscore books too. Thought?
At first I thought 7sage might be better for foundations until I really started getting into the Demon’s lessons. I think LSAT Demon is all you’d need. They do a way better job explaining everything, including question answers. If you can, I’d sign up for the highest plan and join the classes where you can ask questions and then downgrade later if you don’t need that much help anymore.
Thank you.
@@Charlesthetraveler thank you for watching!
This is my exact experience! My biggest regret was trying to save money by using 7sage! I feel like I could have cut my study time in half if I just used the demon!!
Exactlyyyyy. That’s why I made this video so others don’t have to make that mistake.
Do they have prep test for the new August LSAT? If so, how many?
Yes. It’s just a settings option that makes it so you can take a practice test without the logic games and also allows you to not include any logic games in your drills.
@@whitneychanell thanks, and good luck on yo journey!
@@mansurx26 thank you, same to you!
Can you share the timeline best for lsat prep and official test time? I'm super happy to come across your content ☺️
@@Automatedluxe thank you for watching. 🫶🏽 It’ll be different for everyone, but I can do a video on my timeline and experience.
When do you test? I’m taking mine in November
I’m registered for August, but planning to take it in September as well.
There's an app? Where can I find it?
Yes! In the App Store, just search LSAT Demon, or there might even be a link to download it from the website.
@@whitneychanell thank you!
Thanks for this video!🩷 I’ll be a senior in CJ this fall and I’m planning on taking the September LSAT.. I’m so overwhelmed with study options. Demon and 7sage are the most common ones I hear about. Do you think Demon is beginner friendly?
The Demon is by far the best for all level users. I have used all of them. 🤷🏿♀️
My pleasure! The Demon is definitely user friendly. Just start with the lesson that’s called “Start Here” and you’ll be good to go! Good luck. ❤️
