Ah I tried to read One Day in December so many times and I just hated it but wanted to love it so badly. I love a holiday romance, but I just felt weird about the entire set up for that one!
I noticed a few of the worst books were the ones you read in December. Do you think you finished them to get to the goal? Which I totally get, and have done before. Do you usually DNF books you don’t like?
The book that disappointed me the most was These Violent Delights, which I have to say was my most anticipated read, but halfway through I was just done.
tweet cute by emma lord was probably the biggest disappointment of my 2021 reading. i was so excited for it and it just ended up not being interesting to me, maybe it was the audiobook narrators that annoyed me, but i gave it 2 stars :(
Shadow and Bone definitely isn’t amazing, and I feel the second and third book are even worse. I couldn’t even get myself to read them, I just listened to the audiobooks while doing other stuff. I love the crows duology, though! Now I wonder if I should try King of Scars or not..
Raybearer has a sequel now, but it’s a great fantasy book that has amazing worldbuilding and characters and literally everything. It’s so good. So if you’re looking for a fantasy book that does amazing stuff in just one book, that’s a great one. (The sequel is also amazing) great video! 😀😀😀

If I bought a book I try to finish it, but if it’s a book I’m borrowing from the library and I’m disliking it early on I’ll probably DNF it tbh

the Grishaverse books are literally so boring I physically can’t read them
I agree Leigh bardugo is very overhyped
I prefered the shadow and bone tv show to the book every time

I actually started the audiobook for Redemptor literally today! Read Raybearer in December! So far enjoying it!

Shadow and Bone made me angry. Very angry, like...im sorry, but the thing with the darkling and Alina and Mal was just maddening.
