The minigame at the end is incredible! I've never seen that type of game before in Minecraft. How do you even come up with those ideas-
I’m so glad you liked it! I don’t think I’ve seen anything like it either. You know, I start with crazy ideas like an infinitely falling mineshaft and then I start to get really inspired. I generally take the approach of “nothing is impossible”!
This is just mind blowing. My favorite music disc + awesome rhythmic mini game = wow

9:20 I guess that it isn't aligned and goes down instead of up so it doesn't have an illusion of motion and it makes the player look like going up? That's my guess.

The mini game is actually cool, I can see many other things you can make with those mechanics, other than that really nice game and falling mechanics
Thanks a bunch! There are definitely some cool mechanics you can add here, like “bad blocks” that hurt the player if they hit them.
@@AvidMc I think for your next game you should try and make something involving a Minecart, something like riding thru obstacles and fighting mobs while moving somehow. I think that would be very cool and something I will probably make if I have time

You even inspired me to get back into commands! I have actually constructed my own beat saber using moving slimes and magma cubes as well as looped commands to summon them.
@AvidMc suggestion, use tags and dealtdamage scoreboards to apply effects when hitting something with a tagged item. I made a poisonous blade and a levitation wand myself with this concept. Maybe this could make a boss battle where you have to levitate mobs in the air.

Now that you say that, I always thought it would be pretty awesome for Minecraft to have a music themed boss, specifically some kind of DJ playing fire disco beats while deploying minions (AKA dancers/discogoers) while attacking you with music-themed attacks. Your objective would be to get across the massive dancefloor to destroy the DJ's 3 speakers while avoiding his attacks. I think that would be pretty cool :)

A falling block is an entity! So you can just do something like:
/execute at @p if entity @e[type=falling_block,distance=..1] run

I saw the reddit video and wanted to ask, will you do this with the other music discs? Probably not C418's music, but how about like Otherside?
