Coming from a North Jersey native...there is literally no traffic here in the Downingtown area. Want to compare with Rt 80, Rt 287, Rt 3 and Rt 78 in the morning and afternoon rush? A train trestle with a few cars does not compare. On point for everything else! I'm in Lionville and love the proximity to everything!

Compared to chaotic Delco area, Downingtown is a dream..
But perhaps this will change with all of the new homes

One thing I learned in my life is that everything is always changing. We just need to learn how to adapt to the changes.

If you ever need any of your customers that need renters or home or commercial, please think of me. I live local, hire local, shop local. My son went to STEM, great experience🔥❤️👍🇺🇸

We like rons school house pizza steak with friend onions but you are correct downingtown. Needs a good cheese steak. We also have Tried Lione’s right next to Kerr Park. The only think I would add as a con are the roads. Esp Creek Road as it gets repaired and or filled way too many times. If we had a good engineer to get to the heart of the flooding on this road. Then maybe we could finally fix the potholes properly vs bandaid repairs. We also love the sense of community! We also love our parish in downingtown. The con of traffic however if you love her long enough you will learn there is a Min 3 different ways to get to everywhere. We also have a vast options of Sports arenas dance,m companies etc. Highland Orchards. Parks and trails esp Marsh Creek! Lots to see and do! In quarantine we have noticed our nature more so than ever. And glad the trail has been saved!

I live in Philly and work in downingtown at Dane Decor (shameless plug). Jad's pizza has some pretty damn good cheese steaks, unless you're considering Pat's and Gino's as good.... They're just tourist traps.

Thanks for the comment Chris! Good to me is Steve's Princess Steaks. In my opinion, that is the ultimate cheese steak along with Jim's on South Street. I've had Jads before and it was decent.

I used to live there. I was born there and lived there for 11 years until I moved to Florida. I really hope that I can move back some day and I know almost everywhere there and I know everywhere you’re talking about, like the Rita’s across from the diner (home of the Blob). I recognized the East Ward Playground you showed too.

As a Downingtown resident who works on the 4 to 12 shift I can tell you I absolutely despise Good Neighbor Day and the restaurant festivals and this person's run and that person's run and the other person's run where they basically shut down the entire town and you cannot get in and you cannot get out.

  • @hesjuststandingthere...men8913

I was born in Coatesville Pennsylvania, in 2000, Christmas time 2001, when I was almost 2-years old my parents split up and my grandparents took me and we moved to Kentucky.
20 years later, sometime in February near my 22nd birthday, we're moving back to Pennsylvania in Honey Brook, which is close to Downingtown, I believe (If I'm wrong feel free to tell me off haha)
I'm a bit nervous honestly but also a bit excited to get to see new things and hopefully get my life in order, thank you for the video! It was very informative and helpful to this kid!

I can relate to the whole "neighborhood being congested" thing. I grew up in Oxford Michigan so to see a bunch of new houses and other infrastructures popping up thus ruining the beautiful views of lakes and golf courses kinda makes me mad.

Hi lifetime downingtown resident here, i’d stay away from majority from the Highschool white boys that’s where majority of racism is. we’re a very split down town. I can’t speak for east but at downingtown west we have a lot of clubs about that like Asian Alliance and stuff. If you live in the big rich neighborhoods outside of town, that’s where majority of it is. If you’re in downtown you should be fine. Most of the stuff i hear is subtle like they’re trying to hide it now flat out someone calling a POC the N Word
