Winner, winner chicken dinner!!! I think the herd like baled corn fodder. Someone left a comment about using molasses over the corn fodder 2 give additional protein. Enjoy UR lunch...
So what are you shooting for about 5 lbs a day dry matter intake. You could stuff your bed mattress with corn stocks too. Oh shoot that's probably where you hide your money eh.
I definitely understand your situation and have been there before, however I find it more economical to take the cows to the stalk field and supplement with hay as needed there save a lot of cost on equipment plus the cows break down the feed and put it back as fertilizer.
Ben this is just me but I never put corn in the ring I put them in different places around the field so they can eat what they want and s@#$ on the rest and then come spring it's fertilizer for the field but I use a totally different feed ration and your bull issue this is just me now I run balancer bulls and have zero problems they are breeding 27 to 30 each they stay fat and sound year round but everybody has an opinion
I just love your channel, you are just such an inspiration. Please keep it up, and the best luck to you on these corn stalk bales.

Cattle spend 8 thousand calories walking across a field. Cost of a walk for 1 day. I wrote through a translator😅
Have you ever thought of getting a mixer wagon?
