I got your first like 👍 thanks this is going to be fun. I already have some river rocks just don't know where to find the bottom part could you please tell me what it is called and where to find them at please I'm new to painting and working with rocks oh I couldn't catch what kind of paint you used on your rock want to make sure I get the right kind since I'm on a very limited income I can't afford much. Thank you if you could answer my couple questions. God bless you for having so much talent and help learning something new for this 64 year old lady. 🙄 they say it's never to late to try new things. Oh shoot what kind of paint did you use? Just acrylic only? Heard you mention it toward the end.

Thank you Brenda for liking my video. I use Acrylic paint. You only need 4 colors for this lesson: black, white, yellow, and red. In terms of brushes, you just need a large brush and a medium size brush. Liner brush is optional. It's easier to use liner for the small details.

@@artlessonswithwendy thank you for answering my questions I had 2 more in my comment that I didn't get answered if you could consider letting me know them as well sure would appreciate it so much 1) What did you use for the bottom part of the rock that you only painted on one side the black pebble it looked like to me
      2) I was talking about the paint in the can you used first to paint the rock with you said 3 coats you put on it. The white paint in the can I didn't get the name of it.
Thanks again if you could answer these last 2 questions then next month I can hopefully afford to get everything I don't have already 😅 thanks you are so kind and talented 😊

      @@brendasnider7130 Hi Brenda,
      1) I just left the bottom part of the rock unpainted. I only painted the top half of the rock.
      2) I use primer. I paint 3 coats on the top half of the rock before painting the apple. You can purchase the primer from many places. I got my from Home Depot.
Hopefully that helps and have fun painting the apple rock!!!

@@artlessonswithwendy thanks for all your help hopefully I can have one done by next month 🙏 😀 😊 🙂 👍 you have helped me get wanting to paint now. My grandpa and one of my Aunt's were professional painters I would watch both of the paint in awe but never had any talent with anything like that. Several years ago I started coloring in adult coloring books it kept me from going stircrazy I spend day after day indoors. Now I'm ready to try painting rocks Several years ago I bought supplies to paint rocks and since then I have had several surgeries on my hands elbows and one shoulder 2x. So haven't been able to even color the last 2 years. Just got over my last surgery on my shoulder they removed a metal plate and 19 screws. So that was just 2 weeks ago. Still have some more recovery but hopefully by next month will be ready to paint my first rock.

Hi Wendy. Lovely videos. I have subscribed. Please answer my qyestion. What acrylic paints... heavy, or craft... what is the one you use. I want the painting to last and not fade or scratched out. Please advise

I use Liquitex or Artist's Loft acrylic. For the finish touch, I use Rust-Oleum painters touch ultra cover latex paint (gloss clear)
