    Sorry, I'm not a video professional. One guy tells me to stop using cross fades, now someone tells me not to transition through black. Guess what? I don't know what I'm doing. My work is about the content, and while I strive to present it with good audio and video quality, I was never trained, or have studied film making. So... if my transitions bug you... sorry. If you want the content, you'll just have to deal with it.

    Fantastic video. I have a Squier VI and most of the videos I've seen talk about its use as a bass but not much about it's versatility for using it as a guitar as well. I have a Boss RC-30 looper and my VI lets me lay down both guitar and bass riffs without switching instruments (I just use an A/B switch to change amps).

    Nice video but why do some complain about bridge pickups in these types of basses? That sound at 3:26 is awesome if you want that Jaco or Roundabout type tone. Very much like a Jazz bridge pickup. Its very useable.

    Hi, I've been testing a few Bass VI lately including this. I liked the Eastwood 'vintage voice', but I've found the Fender Pawn Shop clearer and more versatile. The Japanese Fender reissue is amazing (but really expensive) with an incredible range of voices, while the Schechter Ultra VI offers a wide range, a great sound, for half the price of the Japanese Fender. I would like to try and compare the Squier Bass VI, showing same switches and pickups layout of the Japanese Fender, for a tiny price

    I don't know the radius of this one offhand (I should!) but it's definitely flatter. I think 7.25 might be too round for this spacing.

  • @BCTGuitarPlayer
    @BCTGuitarPlayer Před 7 lety

    It's a baritone...right? To me it's the same as an old Fender VI. Jack Bruce, John Lennon...lot's of guys used them in the 60s. I have a Squire RI of the original. Horrible bridge, but there's a British company that makes an awesome replacement, then you've got a great instrument. Very versatile. I've seen the black with gold hardware version of this one you're playing. It's absolutely gorgeous. Run through an old Fender Bassman hear: surf and spaghetti western city, baby!

    • @1106Winter
      @1106Winter Před 7 lety

      No, it's not. A baritone has a different tuning, not E to e like this one. This is just a shortscale 6 string bass.
