Regarding the "should have recovered within six months" yes, this is a thing psychiatrists have decided is normal, and if you take longer you're apparently mentally ill. They call it "prolonged grief disorder" and it's characterised by having recurring thoughts of the diseased and feeling down after 6 months, which they've decided is the "normal" grieving period. This isn't based on any actual reason to view it as abnormal, it's literally just that having prolonged grief makes it harder to serve the economy. It seems like it's a diagnosis created out of thin air to justify selling more pills and treatments.
